Thank you for this valuable information! I prefer to do prayer and reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for the Pope and the Church since time is so short.
Hi, you are completely right about the abomination of the sins of sodomy. However, the case the author made in the linked article was guilt by association for much of his article. That's not saying that those priests are not guilty of those sins, but because they are associated to a bishop or cardinal, or that they have been elevated to their position by a sinner, makes them a terrible sinner, too. I stayed away from spiritdaily, this forum, and gloriatv for all of advent, so I didn't see all the controversies that cropped up over those days. Blessings to you for 2026!
Thank you and many happy returns! Your point was well made and I read around this priest, in case he was indirectly a supporter of legitimising sodomy (because of his distinction between those who are homosexual and those homosexuals who engage in abuse). I found little about him, but none of what I did provides any support to this suspicion. Unsurprisingly, he does sympathise with the idea of married priests, but this is, I think, more a disciplinary matter than one of doctrine, although heterosexual celibacy in the priesthood has the support of two millenia of unambiguous tradition. My outrage over the issue is a compound of Monsignor Agostini's frank declaration; the continued behaviour of the homosexual porn writer in the Holy Office; the pervert invasion of the Vatican (f@#k the rules, etc.); and the hosting of James Martin by the Pope. Along with all the other rumours, it is difficult to simply accept that many of these allegations are guilt by association, particularly when one considers how homosexuals behave. In summary, it is difficult to escape the conclusion that the Vatican, and many other higher prelates of the Church, are groupings that are riddled with homosexuals. There is even a special blessing for them now that does not even seem to recommend that they relinquish their disorder, either in word or deed.
Wow! What a wonderful and surprising gift to have another Jubilee Year that comes with potential for Plenary Indulgences! It appear that thus would apply to going even to a local parish named after St. Francis! Im overjoyed. And as same time wonder does Pope Leo have a sense or knowledge we will need this opportunity this year? In any case, I know I will be frequenting the St. Francis parish church only a few miles from here quite often. God is Good!
Regarding Monsignor Agostini's 'accidental' comment over a live microphone, I have read today on Mundabor's blog that Monsignor Agostini, whom Mundabor describes a a great hero, used the word 'culattoni' to describe the princes of the Church. Mundabor is a native Italian, living in the UK, and describes the word 'culattoni' as being the strongest insult in Italian one could direct at a homosexual, much more cutting than the reported 'faggot'. If you'll excuse me, I think a close English translation would be 'buggers'! This from a good, faithful priest (appointed by Pope Benedict) who knows the score. As Mundabor says, he's in the 'belly of the beast'. God help us.
Yes! I bet St. Carlo Acutis had his hand in this from Heaven! What a wonderful gift to us only a few months after his canonization. This will bring great graces to the world. For me, personally, I have been reflecting so much on what it means to give everything to Christ, to respond in the way Jesus encouraged the rich young man in the gospel...in a family with children. How can I be a better example to my children of what it means to give up the world for Christ? I will use this year to especially pray to St. Francis and St. Carlo Acutis for help in this area.
I was thinking about homosexual clergy today. I don't doubt there are a lot of homosexuals in the Vatican and elsewhere amongst the clergy. The evidence is overwhelming. Even Pope Francis himself commented on it. But one thing makes me a little uneasy is when people actually name names. I think we have to be a little careful of this for how could we know one way or the other for sure? The best we might have is second or third hand testimony. It would be a terrible thing to name some poor Cardinal, Bishop or Priest or even Pope and the poor man being innocent and his good name being taking away. Although maybe I am very old fashioned in this. In the past calling a man a homosexual was the just about the worst thing you could do on him. But nowadays it seems to be almost a badge of honour. Maybe a lot of these people could care less. Anyway it's just a thought , I'd really hate to see anyone accused by name of these things in the wrong.
I agree. We have a solemn obligation before God to preserve the good name of people. It's like murder to destroy someone's good name.
