There are no cubes of ice in hell as I suspect he may soon discover.

Why do people of this generation feel the constant urge to be nice about people who are destroying our Holy Mother the Church?

I have no such urge. Quite the contrary.

I don't even feel the littlest bit nice. If it were possible hell would be far, far, far too good for them.

Because Jesus said, "pray for your enemies, do good to those who persecute you". Why not just let God do the judging? Radical dependence on God's grace, God's love and God's mercy should soften our hearts not harden them. As Jesus said after he received the slap from the soldier, "if there is something wrong with what I said, just point it out" - but don't react in anger. As has been said, don't own someone else's sin. As you measure, so shall it be measured out to you. As you judge, so shall you be judged etc.

Jesus healed many sick people during His earthly ministry. It is a work of mercy to pray for the sick and visit them. I pray for the Pope and those who are responsible for his treatment. I would want someone to do that for me, if I were sick. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. God’s holy will be done. He’s got this.
Lord, let your mercy be upon us, as we place our trust in you.
Agnes, thank you for your post and sharing your outlook on this sad situation.

I get the sense that though times are dark light is ever increasing in the world. This is where I think Maria Esperanza's prophecy is playing out.

This cancer may be playing a role in this in unseen ways.

I have a feeling that when the big changes come that they will be sudden and dramatic. I feel sorry for any good Pope that comes in the future as he will have his work cut out. There will certainly be a schism.

I think they are lining up the awful Cardinal Tagle to take Leo's place. Hopefully God will have mercy on us and not permit it.

With the help of God, Pope Leo will now recognise Who controls his destiny. We can all change, if we so choose. Out-of-the-blue lung cancer is a very heavy hint. May he take it.

If he chooses metanoia, Pope Leo could yet be a great pope.

I think that his lifespan will directly reflect his choice.

You rightly speak what the Scriptures so present in the Sermon on the Mount. But reality also instructs us. The horrific treatment of Catholics in China continues unabated in the midst of a "Vatican Deal". That should up the ante with our prayerful resolve because such a "roll over and play dead" attitude by the Vatican strikes me as abandonment! Again, challenging instructions contained in the Sermon on the Mount point to a life of humility, yet Jesus wielded a whip on the Temple Mount when his little ones were being hoodwinked by the spiritual authorities.

Duplicity rears its ugly head at times. Then the Lord raises up prophets like John the Baptist at times.

To complain, complain, and point fingers is questionable, but to refuse to speak what the Lord would have one speak is cowardice.

Let us cover ourselves in prayer so as to know personally when to speak and when not to speak. Mary, Seat of Wisdom, pray for us.

Yes. As Jesus said we should point out if something is wrong in what others have said. I just think it is very easy to tip over in sins against charity. I suppose righteous indignation is very understandable but I would prefer to leave any hint of judgement out of it and maintain peace while pointing out the wrongs which I perceive in good faith.

It is interesting that Traditional Thomist has very recently renouned his Traditional label. He followed up with another video saying he was stepping back from his channel. He said he had publically sinned in encouraging debates about the wrongs in the Vatican, which had become a kind of scrum. Because he had publically sinned, he proceeded to publically repent of his sin.

I think this is a good time for me to do likewise. I apologise for sins against charity and respect for both Pope Francis and Pope Leo. I am not saying that I agree with their theology but I am sorry for the sins I committed against charity in not giving them proper respect due to their office. And I admit I could be wrong in my beliefs. When I think about it - what is the point of Jesus giving the Pope and those Bishops united to him the power to bind and loose, if I do not accept that power or at least respect that power by maintaining charity at all times in respect of them?
