I do wonder about the Holy Father's great, great tendency to favour sexual perversion and perverts when nominating Cardinals. I suspect very strongly that the majority of the Red Hats he has handed out so far seem to go to gentleman I suspect are perverts themselves. ..and that these are the perverts who will elect our next Pope. Not a good sign of things to come...

The Church possesses a solid body of reflection concerning mitigating factors and situations. Hence it is can no longer simply be said that all those in any “irregular” situation are living in a state of mortal sin and are deprived of sanctifying grace. More is involved here than mere ignorance of the rule. A subject may know full well the rule, yet have great difficulty in understanding “its inherent values”, or be in a concrete situation which does not allow him or her to act differently and decide otherwise without further sin. 'Irregular situation' can be replaced by cohabitation or same-sex partnership! It might even justify polamory!!

I have found PF to be the most rigid churchman of our time. He is joining the crowd screaming "off with his head" in regards to St John the Baptist and "crucify him"in regards to Jesus Christ.
