Pope John Paul II, on 25th March 1984 in Saint Peter's Square, while recalling the fiat uttered by Mary at the Annunciation, the Holy Father, in spiritual union with the Bishops of the world, who had been “convoked” beforehand, entrusted all men and women and all peoples to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Holy Father gave such a heart felt consecration that it was accepted by heaven! The Holy Father was unable to use the word Russia because of diplomatic advice and cautions but He found a way around this! The Holy Father implored heaven to accept this consecration as a consecration of Russia!, Pope John Paul II even deviated from the text of the consecration to add.......... In a special way we entrust and consecrate to you those individuals and nations which particularly need to be thus entrusted and consecrated!!! Also the text of the consecration itself was imbued with references to Russia! Mother of the Church! Enlighten the People of God along the paths of faith, hope, and love! Enlighten especially the peoples whose consecration and entrustment by us you are awaiting!!! Help us to live in the truth of the consecration of Christ for the entire human family of the modern world. “Mother of all individuals and peoples, you know all their sufferings and hopes. In your motherly heart you feel all the struggles between good and evil, between light and darkness, that convulse the world: accept the plea which we make in the Holy Spirit directly to your heart, and embrace with the love of the Mother and Handmaid of the Lord those who most await this embrace, and also those whose act of entrustment you too await in a particular way!!! Take under your motherly protection the whole human family, which with affectionate love we entrust to you, O Mother. May there dawn for everyone the time of peace and freedom, the time of truth, of justice and of hope” “O Mother of all men and women, and of all peoples, you who know all their sufferings and their hopes, you who have a mother's awareness of all the struggles between good and evil, between light and darkness, which afflict the modern world, accept the cry which we, moved by the Holy Spirit, address directly to your Heart. Embrace with the love of the Mother and Handmaid of the Lord, this human world of ours, which we entrust and consecrate to you, for we are full of concern for the earthly and eternal destiny of individuals and peoples!!!! Then we have the following from Our Church Fathers....... Sister Lucia personally confirmed that this solemn and universal act of consecration corresponded to what Our Lady wished (“Sim, està feita, tal como Nossa Senhora a pediu, desde o dia 25 de Março de 1984”: “Yes it has been done just as Our Lady asked, on 25 March 1984”: Letter of 8 November 1989). In the documentation presented here four other texts have been added to the manuscripts of Sister Lucia: 1) the Holy Father's letter of 19 April 2000 to Sister Lucia; 2) an account of the conversation of 27 April 2000 with Sister Lucia; 3) the statement which the Holy Father appointed Cardinal Angelo Sodano, Secretary of State, to read on 13 May 2000; 4) the theological commentary by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Joe I believe the period of peace ended and since then we entered the period of tribulation and it is gaining momentum! Yes I will concede that the 'certain period of peace', may be between the Warning and the Chastisement, if in fact we have been lied to by either Sister Lucia or Our Holy Father Saint Pope John Paul 11 and Cardinal Angelo Sodano and Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger.
I do not for one second think that Sr Lucia lied but in her obedience and loyalty to the Church was careful in the wording of her response. The English translation of 'tal como' is 'such as'. The Portuguese for just as is 'assim como.' So the one heaven approved was one like the one requested not the same as the one requested. I do not speak Portuguese. Perhaps Basto could help. I do not think 'tal como' means 'exactly as' but 'such as'. Similarly I have would say that comments from other prelates would use carefully chosen words or do reflect their best understanding. I do not accuse them of lying.
My mind is wandering a bit more .....wondering and wandering .... in Garabandal Our Lady appeared in white with a blue mantle. Sometimes in the brown of Carmel. In Fatima She was in white. When Padre Pio wrote to the seers in 1962 he told them that while people did not believe in their conversations with THE LADY IN WHITE at that time they would come to believe but by then it would be too late. In Fatima Our Lady said the consecration would be done but late. Was 'late' too late to avoid the terrible time of Tribulation? We know this cannot be avoided now but could it have been if the consecration had been made at the time requested and in the exact way requested? Could the flow of errors from Russia and Communism been stemmed by this simple act of obedience? Perhaps we will never know. What we do know is that Tribulation is close at hand and we will have to go through it. Today N Korea launched an ICBM capable of reaching the good old USA. God preserve them.
Ok it seems that we are still awaiting the 'certain period of peace'. In fact this is wonderful, because I hope after the warning and the miracle, the whole world is converted including Muslims and athesists and that the abortion madness is stoppped and that the Christian churches are united back to the true Catholic faith and so many other beautiful things happen, so that the next generations, which includes my children and grandchildren get a chance to live in a wholesome loving world devoted to Our Lord and Our Lady. Sorry Carolyn. While The Miracle is indeed for the conversion of the world in itself it will not convert the world. It is for everyone but will not be taken up by everyone. Conversion requires submission of the will to revealed truth. It requires the free choice of the individual. Even if someone is shocked into surrender they can still revert to form. I believe that such reversion will lead to the Chastisement. I hope I am wrong. I believe your children still have a chance at that dream world but only after the chastisement. The time of tribulation will be a punishment executed by communism. The time of Chastisement will come directly from God unspeakable in its severity. The girls at Garabandal asked Our Lady to spare the children what they were shown but were told that by the time of Chastisement their children would be adults. I may be wrong but it seems that at some stage the Chastisement may have gone from being conditional to being almost inevitable. Glenn will correct me if I am wrong. "Many are called but few are chosen." Perhaps those few are those who make the right choice. However we see things I think it is safe to say we really do not have long to wait. I know it is probably not the right place for a funny but I once did a charity swim in the River Clyde in Scotland on New Years Day and was awarded with s certificate that said " Many are cauld but few are frozen." Cauld is Scottish for cold and pronounced called.
Our Lady was quite clear in her messages in Garabandal. The first on Oct 18 1961 lay down conditions to avoid Chastisement. The second on June 18 1965 confirmed that these conditions had not been met. She promised then that sincere hearts will still receive pardon but more effort to amend our lives, more sacrifice and more reverence and better attention for the Eucharist would be necessary to avoid condemnation. In this way the wrath of God could be turned away from us. She told us to think of the passion of Jesus. She said twice in these messages that we were receiving our last warnings. In Akita these final warnings were continued and repeated and She told us that the time will come when forgiveness will no longer be available. Then we will have left the time of Mercy and entered into the time of Justice and while the good will still enjoy their eternal reward the bad will have run out of time to repent. When heaven stipulates conditions we can be sure they must be met not on our terms but heaven's
Apart from non-compliance with her message Our Lady was not pleased that Her message had not been made known to the world. She said so in plain words in her second message. The Church, for a third time had not complied with heaven's wishes. 1 From Fatima (approved) the church did not consecrate Russia as requested or make known the message by 1960 as requested. 2 From Amsterdam (approved) the Church has not proclaimed the 5th Dogma. 3 From Garabandal (assured of the blessings of Pope and Church) the Church did not comply with the terms of the message nor make it known to the world. Pope Paul VI said that the messages of Garabandal must be made known to the world. The majority of Catholics today still know nothing of of its messages or of this place or its wonders. The Church needs to be reconciled with the Truth. I mean the whole Church - priest and people. Can you remember your mum saying something like "I will count to three", The 1,2,3 above represents that count. Three strikes and we are out....for a while.
There won't be any period of peace between the Warning/Miracle and the Chastisement. The Warning in particular will serve to "correct" the conscience of humanity, but it won't change the subsequent events, and the situation will worsen even more up to the point where the Chastisement will be necessary to purify humanity. This is confirmed by other seers, too.
Contrary to your opinion, Pijon, I contend that The Warning will serve to save and convert many who would otherwise have been lost. These 'subsequent events' in my opinion are invaluable and represent a change so enormous that we cannot fully appreciate it. It is, in fact, the change from damnation to salvation. If after the Warning and the Miracle the human race is not even given a breather to gather its wits and catch its breath, I would be most surprised. It is in this space after the Miracle that peace may reign for a time. During this time some people may rapidly advance to sainthood while others with short memories and even shorter insight will revert to form. If (more likely, when) enough people revert to sin then God will have had enough and will Chastise. As ever you sound very sure of yourself, Pijon. For myself, I am only sure of what I have been told by reliable sources. The seers have never said that the Warning will not change subsequent events, only that the Chastisement is more likely than not to happen. Please quote your source to back up your claim that they say the Chastisement is definitely no longer conditional or that they have said it is unconditionally necessary to purify humanity. Remember there is a difference between Tribulation and Chastisement. Tribulation may be enough to purify humanity for a while. The girls thought it utterly horrific though not as bad as Chastisement. They may think that Chastisement is inevitable but have not said it is definitely unavoidable. They have never been told to say this as far as I know. Do you know better? In my post 29 I mention three examples of the Church missing great opportunities to change history for the better. The Warning will change the mind of the Church and this change will be confirmed by the Miracle. These will probably attract approval by the Church - another subsequent event - doubt to faith. Just as Peter was given three opportunities to make up for his three denials so perhaps the Church will be given the The Tribulation' , Warning and Chastisement to make up for its denials. Maybe two out of three will be good enough for God. Sadly I happen to think Chastisement will come but that is only my opinion. Primarily I speak of the Peace of Christ not so much peace as the world thinks peace is.
Interesting concepts...I guess God has always handed out chastisements to the world. Example flood, famine and destruction. I guess we are waiting for the final chastisement. I think God told us we will never really know. It will come like a thief in the night. But all the same...it is interesting. If we are are coming closer to the final battle, then we will see some of the most spiritual/powerful saints mankind has ever seen. Because when there is great evil...God sends great saints. I do believe the warning will be Gods last gift to humanity. Many saints have had the experience but for it to happen to all of humanity...it will force everyone to choose sides. Once that happens, the final battle will take place and in the end, we will see God coming from the clouds. I'm not to sure I want to be here when it all comes down but... May Gods Will be Done. Joe, Im curious how you interpret Jesus Blessing to His Church to Bind n Loose on Earth and in Heaven... Peter has power of Attorney until Christs return, Jesus gave His own KEY to Peter. Maybe im missing something, but I was always taught the Church could neither deceive or be deceived..... to say wrong words were used would imply deception by the Church.... I reject any such claims myself !!!!

Whatever words you mean I do not say the Church has deceived but rather has chosen not to use those words that are clear in meaning or complete in witness. As with all private revelation it is ultimately up to us what to believe. ... Even if the church approves. The Church is not allowed to Deliberately deceive just like the laity. But it can deceive mistakenly by accidental error. Only in matters of faith and morals that come from private revelation is it protected from erroneous teaching ex cathedra as in The Immaculate Conception from Rue du Bac and Lourdes. I think. Padraig may know better.
Just popping across to church for a short visit. Will pray for you then. I was questioning the translation of the words St Lucia used to allegedly confirm that the consecration had been made exactly as it had been requested. So neither Sr Lucia nor the church deceived but the translation of confirmation by a third party may not have told the full story. The translation may have been inaccurate in context and implication.

The words of Sr Lucia, 'tal Como' means 'such as' or 'like'. They were translated as 'just as' which could mean 'the same' to many people. Portuguese for 'just as' is 'assim Como'. These were not the words used by Sr Lucia. So I am saying that Sr Lucia confirmed that a consecration like the one originally requested was made and accepted in heaven but did not necessarily confirm that a consecration exactly like the one originally requested was made and accepted in heaven. It depends on how her words of confirmation are translated and understood.
