Given what has happened in the last 10 years or so it’s hard not to see pope Benedict as that restrainer. But I’m open to other interpretations. Maybe the passage can have multiple interpretations, both literal and symbolic. The truth of the matter is that Heaven has been warning us for at least 200 years that Satan would infiltrate the church and replace it with the “ape of the church “. We are simply witnessing prophecy unfolding.
From St. Paul's first letter to Timothy: "1 1:12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. 13 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. 14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst." It's just not possible to reconcile even this one small passage of scripture with what is being promoted by this pontificate. How on earth could they claim ignorance? And if it's unbelief, then they are living a lie.......
I don't think there can be any doubt anymore that; 2024 WILL BE THE YEAR. The year when the total fullness of the Tribulation will begin. In some ways this makes my stomach churn. But in quite another it fills me with joy and relief that this Satanic wickedness will at last be put at end to. I'm sick to my back teeth of it.
It is interesting that if the 7-year tribulation begins in 2024, then the culmination will be in 2031. This fits into one of Saint John Bosco's prophecies that says that "before two full moons pass in the month of flowers, the rainbow of peace will appear over the earth." This perfect convergence will occur in September 2031, which is the month of flowers in the southern hemisphere.
"There shall yet come a violent hurricane. Iniquity is at an end, sin shall cease, and before two full moons shall have shone in the month of flowers, the rainbow of peace shall appear on earth ... Throughout the world a sun so bright shall shine as never seen since the flames of the Cenacle until today, nor shall it be seen again until the end of time." https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/library/200-day-march-don-bosco-and-the-millennium-5284 Consulting an astronomical calendar, I found the next four occasions on which the phenomenon will occur: May 31, 2026 (spring in the northern hemisphere); December 31, 2028; September 30, 2031 (spring in the southern hemisphere); July 31, 2034.
If you will pardon a homely analogy--its like a terrible stomach flu coming on. And you try and try to resist throwing up. Yet once you finally do you begin to feel better. The body expels the invader and restores balance. Its good to just get it over with. This is the mother of all spiritual flu. A horror and wracking infection that must be expelled. So many souls at stake in our families and in the Church and in the world at large. May St Michael strengthen and protect the Remnant. May Our Lady gather us into her Ark to ride out the storm. Fr Gobbi quoting Our Lady: " the only safe place will be in my Immaculate Heart. I will hide you there as in an enclosed garden."
Yes we're kinda reaching the point when we think to ourselves, 'Well anything would be better than this! Bring it on!'. I must say Father Mark Goring's betrayal hit me particularly hard.
I think Aristotle sums up what's happening to many of whom more is expected. Hope is not bad in itself, but there comes a time when one needs to face the reality of the moment.......
...and yet we are told that the large majority of the young religious and priests are very Conservative. The reason for this is that the false Church are simply not getting vocations. The Holy Spirit would never send young people to their Spiritual Doom.
True. "Conservative" doesn't really mean much anymore, if we're honest.... Let's pray they, or at least some of them, are good holy men....and have found good, holy mentor Fathers to guide them. And that they aren't afraid of "pushing" someone into a confessional!!
Hi Luan. The phrase "two full moons...in one month" is also called "a blue moon." The phrase "in the month of flowers" likely refers to April or (most likely) May. The next astronomical "blue moon" will occur in May 2026. I think St. John Bosco is referring to the timing of the Period of Peace, which I believe is a short period (~6 weeks) just before the end of the 70 year prophecy which started in 1959. So, if my interpretation is correct, this Period of Peace will happen "before" May 31, 2026. "Before" could mean any time from now until May 31, 2026. Look at this list of upcoming "blue moons." https://www.moongiant.com/Blue_Moon_Calendar.php You will see that the months listed for the other, near-future "blue moon" occurrences are outside of a "month of flowers" (April/May). Only the 2026 "blue moon" occurs in a "month of flowers" in northern Italy where John Bosco was living.
Hello @PNF, a merry and holy Christmas to you and your family. I still have some consideration for the thesis that September is the month of flowers referenced in the prophecy because, with the possible change of magnetic poles and the change in the earth's axis prophesied in Fátima, the cycle of seasons on earth could be completely reorganized and even reversed, in such a way that the month of flowers here in Brazil becomes the month of flowers in Italy. In fact, the Catholic Church in Brazil celebrates it as the month of Holy Scripture.
Merry Christmas to you as well. As I have said, I think we are a lot closer to these end times events playing out. We are told to be ready at all times, and I am sure you will be, regardless of the exact date.
Since 2018, I have been thinking that Pope Benedict is/was the restrainer. For example, during Pope Francis' attack on the sacrament of Holy Orders (envisaged female deacons), Pope Benedict issued a book together with Cardinal Sarah ("From the depths of our hearts"). This stopped the attack. Since the death of Pope Benedict a year ago, things have sped up within the Catholic Church.
I had this feeling myself. That when he died all he** broke loose. He lived much longer than he thought hd would and then God took him at the very end of the year. And then...well we know what happened. And is happening.
Here is a clear, balanced (charitable—but truthful) homily by a theologically trained priest. It is clear, and heartening. Looks like a good teacher. Mark Mallett shared it this morning on Facebook. Merry Christmas, everyone!
Merry Christmas to all forum members, their families and loved ones! Man will live forevermore because of Christmas Day. I have been pondering this line - happy to hear your thoughts. The website Katholisches.info has published a list of the Cardinals, Bishops Conferences, Priestly Fraternities, etc. that have issued statements of resistance regarding "Fiducia supplicans" so far. You don't need to know much German to be able to understand the list: https://katholisches.info/2023/12/22/widerspruch-gegen-fiducia-supplicans-eine-aufstellung/
Actually since it is Christmastime , Bishops are very busy and this Document has just come out it is really amazing so many Bishops have responded so quickly. I think the next few weeks will tell the tale 1) Bishop Joseph Strickland, Bishop Emeritus of Tyler (here). 2) Priestly Society of St. Pius X (here). A short but very clear and penetrating text. 3) Malawian Bishops' Conference (here). 4) Archdiocese of Astana (here). Particularly strong: “With sincere brotherly love and due respect, we turn to Pope Francis, who, by allowing the blessing of couples in an irregular situation and of same-sex couples, 'does not walk sincerely according to the truth of the Gospel' (cf. Gal 2:14) to borrow the words with which the apostle Paul publicly admonished the first pope in Antioch. Therefore, in the spirit of episcopal collegiality, we ask Pope Francis to revoke permission to bless unmarried and same-sex couples.” 5) Msgr. José Munilla, Bishop of Orihuela-Alicante (here). 6) Msgr. Jaime Fuentes, Bishop Emeritus of Minas (here). 7) Zambian Bishops' Conference (here) 8) Nigerian Bishops' Conference (here). A particularly clear statement: “Therefore, there is no possibility in the church to bless same-sex partnerships and same-sex acts. This would violate the law of God, the teachings of the Church, the laws of our land and the cultural sensibilities of our people.” 9) Ukrainian Bishops' Conference (here). 10) British Brotherhood of Catholic Clergy (here). 11) Cardinal Gerhard Müller (here). Substantial and clear document in which he states, among other things: “The priest who blesses homosexual couples commits a sacrilegious and blasphemous act against the Creator's plan and against Christ's death for us to bring the Creator's plan to fruition. This also affects the diocesan bishop.” 12) Msgr. Carlo Maria Viganò (here) 13) Ghanaian Bishops' Conference (here) 14) Father Gerald Murray, canon lawyer for the Archdiocese of New York (here) 15) Beninese Bishops' Conference (here) 16) Togolese Bishops' Conference (here) 17) Rwandan Bishops' Conference (here) 18) Symposium of the Bishops' Conferences of Africa and Madagascar (SCEAM) (here)
