Prayer needed please for an important 'Family Matter'

Sean i am unspeakably sad and heart broken for you. This is a cross so heavy that only Jesus can carry it with you. I will keep you in my daily prayers. Please keep coming to the forum for friendship and support. God bless!!

I was at Mass this morning. The gospel was about the farmer thinking of building bigger barns because he had a bumper crop and the settling down on his laurels to just indulge in his wealth. Little does he know tonight he's being called by his maker. So much of life is focusing on stuff. My possessions and collections my pension fund/nest egg. It has been the subject of this divorce settlement . Yet we leave the world as we come in. No pockets in shrouds etc.
I just have chosen to forgive Cathy. I choose to still love her regardless. My vows stand . The rest I need God's help to accept. Thank you for all your kind words and prayers. God bless you all.

 

Sean, thank you for letting us know how you are doing. Thank God for bringing you through this. He will not abandon you as you journey on. Prayers continue. You have a good foundation now.

 

Sean, I am praying for you. And for Cathy. You have bern given s huge Cross. Thanks for sharing your experience. Your act of forgiveness is a huge sign to me and Im sure others. As you say, we dont know the why but your response is a great sign. You will be in my intention at Mass this morning.

I hope this does not bother you as it may be too soon but during this year of loss for me (different from your and others) these help me. Peacr

To LIVE IN My Presence consistently, you must expose and expel your rebellious tendencies. When something interferes with your plans or desires, you tend to resent the interference. Try to become aware of each resentment, however petty it may seem. Don't push those unpleasant feelings down; instead, let them come to the surface where you can deal with them. Ask My Spirit to increase your awareness of resentful feelings. Bring them boldly into the Light of My Presence so that I can free you from them.

The ultimate solution to rebellious tendencies is submission to My authority over you. Intellectually, you rejoice in My sovereignty, without which the world would be a terrifying place. But when My sovereign will encroaches on your little domain of control, you often react with telltale resentment.

The best response to losses or thwarted hopes is praise: The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Remember that all good things-your possessions, your family and friends, your health and abilities, your time-are gifts from Me. Instead of feeling entitled to all these blessings, respond to them with gratitude. Be prepared to let go of anything I take from you, but never let go of My hand!
