Hi friends, I just went to the ER after 5:30 mass this evening. I’m really tired, a little short of breath and had minor cold sweats during mass. It sounds minor but my heart rate was 92 during mass. I wasn’t doing anything and my heart rate has consistently been 52 since I got a pacemaker so that kinda scared me. It feels like I did before I got the pacemaker and I try not to ignore any cardiac funny business. I went to confession during mass this evening and one of our priests gave me last rites after mass just in case. I’m certainly ready to go; glad I was at mass already and they have confessions during mass. So now I don’t have to worry either way lol. So if you could spare a prayer, it would be appreciated
Brian, my prayers are with you. I too suffered from a little increased heart rate out of nowhere. Consecrate your heart to our Blessed Mother. And also make sure you go to the doctor. God Bless
I was just at my cardiologist last week. Everything was good. My pulse is almost back to normal now. They just "interrogated" my pacemaker to check my cardiac history that it records and make sure it's working properly. They just lay an electronic device on my chest over the pacemaker for a minute. ER doc just said they’ll probably keep me overnight. I told him I REALLY do NOT want to do that.
Brian- not that you need or want advice, but maybe better to be cautious in this case. And what a great opportunity to give it all over to Jesus. Peace.
I honestly thought I was being overly cautious just going to the ER. Once I went to confession and received last rites tonight I seriously considered just going home, going to bed and not worrying about it. I’m ready and it would be a tremendous blessing if I would die in this state.
While we of course would be happy to know you would be going home, we would miss you and your daily posts. I don’t think you have completed God’s mission for you yet down here on earth. After all - you’re not done with the motorcycle yet Praying for you
Praying now, you have a wonderful faith. If you feel better I am watching a wonderful old film at the moment about a Baptist Minister and his wife in 1920's USA.. They nursed people during the Spanish Flu outbreak; a true story. It's called , 'I'd climb the Highest Mountain'. They had great faith too. It reminds me of, 'The Walton's'. Interesting they used their little Church as a Hospital in , I think, the Appalachian Mountains. I have not seen film before referring to the Spanish Flu; it's like the world forgot it.
Praying for you, Brian. Maybe you're coming down with something, or you just need to take it easy for awhile. Hope you feel better tomorrow. Gracie needs you.
