Hi everyone, I am due to move back home having spent the last five months living with a religious community. I feel worried and feel discouraged about the future. Trying my best to trust in jesus and God. Prayers would be appreciated.
Feelings of abandonment from God also which are very strong. Some glimmer of hope or consolation from God would be nice.
Thanks ds7. I just opened saint faustinas diary and saw the words Pray the chaplet said by jesus to her.
Sometimes I feel I'd like to be of use to people and help people but I don't know how. I pray and go to mass but my conscience is still under attack.
I don't know why my conscience is so acute. I made mistakes in the past but have confessed all wrongdoing. Everything I think or do I feel judged or accused. I only want to love and help people.
Never give up on prayer. Never give up on God's mercy. He loves you more than you can ever understand. I am reading the Poem of the Man God at the moment. Its very inspiring and wonderful. Relax and keep your focus on Jesus. I will pray for you
Keeping you in prayer Sanctus. You have confessed. You are forgiven. Jesus does not remember your sins. He told this to many saints. When they are confessed and repented of they are gone. "As far as the east is from the west" It is the enemy who is the "accuser of the brethern". He wants you to be tethered to those sins. Don't give in.
Yes Sanctus... Faustina has "words" just for you! Im glad you happened to come upon her diary. Beth posted this section of Jesus's speaking to Faustina and these words were also meant for me!!! Jesus isn't pulling any punches here...Hes telling her some very sobering words about the very great value of deep/dark suffering...just like the deep dark pain that you are going thru!! I'm re-posting Beth's excerpt and I hope you see that Jesus is speaking to YOU!!! (my high lighting) This is what Jesus told her: My daughter, I want to instruct you on how you are to rescue souls through sacrifice and prayer. You will save more souls through prayer and suffering than will a missionary through his teachings and sermons alone. I want to see you as a sacrifice of living love, which only then carries weight before me. You must be annihilated, destroyed, living as if you were dead in the most secret depths of your being. You must be destroyed in that secret depth where the human eye has never penetrated; then I will find in you a pleasing sacrifice, a holocaust full of sweetness and fragrance. And great will be your power for whomever you intercede. Outwardly, your sacrifice must look like this: silent, hidden, permeated with love, imbued with prayer. I demand, my daughter, that your sacrfice be pure and full of humlitiy, that I may find pleasure in it. I will not spare my grace, that you may be able to fulfill what I demand of you. I will now instruct you on what your holocaust shall consist of, in everyday life, so as to preserve you from illusions. You shall accept all sufferings with love. Do not be afflicted if your heart often experiences repugnance and dislike for sacrifice. All its power rests in the will, and so these contrary feelings, far from lowering the value of the sacrifice in my eyes, will enhance it. Know that your body and soul will often be in the midst of fire. Although you will not feel my presence on some occasions, I will always be with you. Do not fear; my grace will be with you.
Santus, I thank God that he granted you the 5 months at the community and pray that he illuminates your next step. God is not like man he does not hold grudges, for the sins committed in our lives. 1 John 1:9-10 tells us ; “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness”. In Isaiah 43:25, God Say’s, “I — yes, I alone will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.” So, as we confess our sins, He forgives and does not remember them anymore. It is good to be aware and alert, the enemy will try to get you to remember those sins even if the truth is that God truly does not. One of the two crucified criminals while hanging on his cross pleaded for his salvation, and Jesus without hesitation admitted him into paradise; “Jesus answered him, ‘Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.’Luke 23:43 In 1 Peter 5:7 is a great mystery, we are told to cast all our cares - cast - meaning (to discard, to let go, to let fall, to throw something) NOT to try but totally discard. “ Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you”.

I really like the quotes of our Lord Jesus in the Diary of St. Faustina. Each day I go to this website and read a very short daily quotation from that Diary so that I would be reminded of the love and mercy of our Lord Jesus... https://www.thedivinemercy.org/mmwj
