This article clearly articulates the why of the Church's condemnation. There is no wiggle room.

To say Donald Trump remains pro-life, when he now supports abortions up through 15 weeks as well as IVF, is nonsense. To remain true to my convictions I can no longer support him with my vote.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

I agree with you. It's too bad, too, because I do like him, but will not vote for him due to my conscience.

This is my position as well. This issue of life is the litmus test for every American. My very holy friend who died a few years ago and who definitely had mystical gifts said "with your vote you are marking your house just as the Israelite marked their doors the night of the first Passover."
In 2016 she supported Donald Trump because of his clear pro life stance and his patriotism. She said to a group of us " if you vote for Hillary Clinton you can go to hell right along with her." She meant it literally.. she had the fierce tone of a prophet. What would she say now? I can imagine. I keep thinking " if the Lord does not build the house in vain do the builders labor."

For the first time in my life since I was able to vote i may sit this one out. I see no prolife candidates nationally and slim to none locally.

Is it morally better to vote for the lesser of two evils or to not vote at all? I really don't know.

Don't see it as choosing between the lesser evil, but choosing the one that can bring more good.
If I were an American citizen and I could vote, I would 1000% for Trump.
God's plans are not our plans, remember how King David had his soldier killed in order to take his wife, how St. Peter denied the true God three times.
We are talking about the greatest saints that God gave us, yet they betrayed God and were sinful. Only God is perfect, and we humans are unfortunately fallen, so some of Trump's statements are not surprising.

However, when you look at how much evil (media), celebrities, liberals hate him and really hate him, then you know that he still represents something good.

Imagine, if he wins, that with his decisions he can and probably will stop the war in Ukraine and Gaza, where over a million people have already died altogether. That it can prevent the illegal entry of migrants, many of whom are criminals who have killed innocents, that it can help the economy and reduce inflation that destroys many lives, families, marriages... That it can reveal the numerous corruptions that destroy those honest and hard-working Americans. To be able to save many children from the evil transgender disorder that is being pushed through schools and institutions..To be able to restore identity and love for the USA through education, and every love carries God within itself. You can help all these people, families and individuals with your vote.

Don't fall for those spins about choosing the lesser evil, that very evil wants to make you apathetic and powerless. Vote for the one who carries more good, and every good always leads to more, and in the end the answer is always life and God.

But I am loathe to vote for a pro-life candidate because I have fears of God’s judgement. I do not want it on my conscience. It’s a black and white issue for me.

  12. "The only arms left for you will be the Holy Rosary and the Sign left by my Son."

Praying lots of Holy Rosaries is a requirement first of all, before voting or not voting for Trump...

I know that I read somewhere that even the greatest saints sinned several times a day... Do you really think that God does not have enough material to condemn us if He wants to?

We don't even need to look at God out of fear of judgement, because God is pure love. That is why in the end he sent his Son, the incarnation of God, to show through suffering how much he loves us. God knows your heart, your every thought and your attitudes. The world would be easy if each of us locked ourselves in a box and lived according to the rules, but who guarantees that this would save us? Jesus himself came to the world among people, surrounded by sinners, tax collectors, not saints.
No matter how many flaws Trump has, even the attitude towards life will be easier changed by tens of thousands of those pro-life associates and voters who stand by him, rather than thousands of those who stand by the Democrats and want death.
Try to talk about this topic with a priest who has a broad understanding of this topic.

I always struggle with this because it seems that not voting for the "best" person only helps the worse person win. So it's in effect almost like voting for the worse person.

I think the answer may lie in the intentions of our hearts, when there is no perfect person to vote for.

Xavier "In the end, My Immaculate Heart will Triumph."

I think Ron DeSantis was one. He signed 6 month heartbeat bills, then got criticized for it even by Conservatives. But he didn't win.

I think it will come down to Biden vs Trump, and Trump may lose. But if Trump wins, he will probably be better than Biden. Tough call, though.

With someone like a DeSantis, it would have been very clear, very clear. Light and Darkness, clear. Now, it will be more in morally grey areas imo.
