This is interesting. There has been a good deal of talk over on X about a meeting between Pope Leo and David Axelrod. The private audience with Pope Leo XIV and Axelrod occurred on April 9, 2026, per Vatican records and reports from CBS, USA Today, and others. It was arranged via standard papal channels for high-profile figures. Axelrod's role as Obama's longtime strategist and Chicago ties with the Pope appear to be the basis—no prior papal meetings noted for him. People are questioning this meeting, and expressing their concerns considering Obama's history of interference with the Trump administration.

Trump’s election, at least to me, from a divine perspective is becoming more and more evident. By that I do not mean that God chose Trump, I mean that it was done by elites from Epstein’s documents who sponsored him, but that God allowed his election so that He, as God, might be glorified. Namely, in a certain spiritual and symbolic sense there are parallels between Trump and Jesus, I am speaking about the rhetoric of speech. Jesus comes at a time when Palestine, that is Israel, in the Roman era was occupied by the Romans, people paid taxes to Caesar, and as we know many of the disciples were rebellious insurgents who were waiting for the Messiah who would free them from the occupier, oppression and suffering, and not only that, Jesus comes to build something new, he gives a new life, a new hope, a new meaning and a new beginning. Trump appears as a candidate in 2015 after the world had already been wrapped up by bureaucratic politicians who had dragged the country into wars in the Middle East, by the LGBT movement, by attacks on what is traditional, historical and culturally significant to Western civilization, he promises and offers a new hope, Make America Great Again, where what is truly good, noble and old will return. Many people placed their hope in him, believed in his word, believed in his ideas and indeed many saw him as a savior of the United States, of Western Christian civilization and of the world, who would bring peace, prosperity and progress to America and others.

What happened, we got wars, a man who commits crimes in front of the eyes of the world, protects a pedophile network of the powerful, bows to elites, constantly and quite often lies, we got a person full of pride and arrogance who openly thinks he can do whatever he wants. Not only does he do the opposite of what he promised, but he has also attacked those who call him out for these wrongdoings, as even the Pope himself has.

At first I thought that Trump had caused a great scandal, he led a large number of people to believe in something good, true and worth fighting for and then showed the opposite, causing great disappointment and making people lose all hope. That did happen, but as with everything in God, the cross becomes victory. People lost and disappointed in politics turned to God and to Catholicism, not just Christianity but specifically the Catholic Church. Look at the large number of conversions, look at Candace Owens and many other strong political conservatives who have become converts, they entered the battle as political commentators and defenders of politics and came out as believers. Look at how many Protestants cannot reconcile the events in Gaza and Iran, Trump’s self presentation as God, and are searching for that Truth that does not disappoint and that represents true good. The Catholic Church has done nothing new except that it has continued to witness the Truth of the faith and that faith is not subject to political or worldly ideologies but to the teaching of Christ. That is why it is attractive especially today in this disappointment with politics, Trump and many earthly things in which people placed their hope. God has shown that our salvation comes from Him, no earthly saviors can fulfill that role and we often end up empty and disappointed when we place such ho

He talks war, death and destruction so casually, now. Yet, when he started his second term, he repeatedly said that too many people were dying, in the Ukraine and Gaza.

Could someone confirm whether this tweet attributed to Trump is actually authentic? I ask because I saw this image being shared on X, , but I couldn’t find it on what appears to be Donald Trump’s official profile there.

I also saw this post tonight. Several people have commented that it is not authentic, but I have not been able to verify. It is dated April 16, and does not appear in any of Trump's posts on that day so hopefully they are correct.

Fits with what my link to Voxday says on the War on Iran thread.

Doesn't Voxday say that the news on that thread should not be considered reliable?

"None of these reports can be considered highly reliable..."

I believe this was another false report, President Trump has the nuclear codes with him at all times. I've noticed a major escalation in fake news on social media in recent weeks designed to create confusion.

Former CIA analyst Larry Johnson alleged on a podcast this week that President Donald Trump wanted to use the nuclear codes against Iran during an emergency White House meeting, but that he was stopped by General Dan Caine, Chairman of his Joint Chiefs of Staff. He described the interaction as "quite the blow up." It comes as concern mounts over the US President's unpredictable behaviour, as many lawmakers voice doubt about his mental state.

On an appearance on the Judging Freedom podcast hosted by former Fox News analyst Andrew Napolitano, ex-CIA officer Larry Johnson claimed an emergency briefing evolved into a confrontation, after General Dan Caine stood his ground after Trump sought to invoke the nuclear codes. He said Caine "stood up and said 'No.' He invoked his privilege as the head of the military."

CNN reported that Caine, Pete Hegesth and other top officials arrived at the White House on Saturday 18th April, and footage of Caine “storming out” of the building was shown on the podcast by Johnson. But the idea of Caine “blocking” Trump goes against the reality of the command chain, as technically nobody can overrule the President's command.

However, what has been reported is conflicting ideas between General Caine and President Trump. Though the US president said online in February that Caine believed military action against Iran could be "easily won," it's not what Caine advised at the time, according to the Washington Post.

The Wall Street Journal also reports that Trump was "intentionally excluded from the Situation Room" during Washington's recent operation to rescue US airmen in Iran. Sources revealed that he was in such a volatile state that he was screaming at his aides "for hours" and military officials made the choice to limit his access, "believing his impatience wouldn't be helpful."

Though it's difficult to verify proof of nuclear strike intent, the gap between Trump's recent war rhetoric and the stance by his Joint Chiefs of Staff has fanned the flames of this viral claim.

Yes, he is rightly cautious. Many reports concerning this war turn out to have been unreliable, not just this one. But, it seems very plausible and to fit the sequence of events leading up to the latest ‘chickening-out’.

Would it be very surprising if there was a military coup in the US, in these circumstances?

The way Trump appears to be at the moment if I met him in a bar I would head out the other door, rapido. It is not normal.
