07/14/07 My son, continue to write these words as I give them to you. Time is short. Repentance must be done or the wrath of God will be unleashed on an unsuspecting world.


07/14/07 Do not presume your country can continue in sin. The graces obtained will be removed quickly if no repentance is done.


09/21/07 If my people would repent, many events could be mitigated.


09/26/07 If mankind does not repent and continues to reject my mercy, I repeat my Father’s words to you from yesterday. I will allow another World War and I will allow the appearance of the man of sin in your generation. The fulfillment of the Apocalypse will take place with a literal one world government and my people grazed and marked by the authorities. There will be one man who will lead this Masonic communistic government as the antichrist.


10-05-07 But the warning will occur where every soul will experience a preview of their judgment if it had occurred at that instant. Then each soul will be given an opportunity to repent.

11/03/07 My blessings and protection will be removed from your country and you will be judged. Be like the people of Nineveh and repent. The people of Nineveh were given one chance and they repented. My children of the United States, you have been given many chances, but you still ignore my warnings. The date and time of your nation’s demise has been set. The time for repentance is short. If you do not heed my warnings, you will be judged severely… Repent, for little time remains. I will forgive your sins and heal your land. All I ask is for my people of the United States to repent and turn from your wicked ways. The lukewarmness of my church has allowed these evils to befall your nation. I ask your clergy to repent of their sins…Your nation is ripe for the winepress of the wrath of God. I will allow the man of sin to take over your nation, if no repentance is done.


11/06/07 After the warning, there will only be a short time given to mankind to repent. If no repentance is done, I will allow Satan and the antichrist to chastise a sinful generation.

 

We already had a mitigation of events and an extension of the time of mercy. Things will take a little longer than you expected.

Verne's claims have not been submitted for official approval by the Church.

 

It is nice Fr. Roux likes the book, but that is not a "seal of approval" from the Church, and Fr. Roux would be the first one to agree! I am troubled these messages do not have an the approval of a bishop, who is the authority to say a book is consistent with Catholic faith.

Also, why bring Vassula Ryden into the conversation about Verne, are they somehow related in their messages. Vassula is Greek Orthodox and the Orthodox Churches have been very clear they do not approve of her. There are so many messages we know are real and truly from Heaven, and so much time still to be spent understanding what Our Lord and Our Lady have truly said to us, I don't know why people look for new things that we don't know where they have come from.

 

No one is asking you to read the book. For those that don't need a 'seal of approval', but can discern that God is speaking to many in these times, this book is an excellent source of information that both supports scripture, church teachings and is within the consensus of volumes of other messages that heaven has revealed for our benefit. When Cletus put Verne's messages into a book and had a holy priest bless all 20,000 books, his spiritual director did not feel it was essential to solicit an imprimatur. These books were handed out by Cletus and most of them went boxed up to future refuges that Cletus was given for study during those hidden times when the confusion abounds. However, if you decide to read the book and find even one message that is outside of Catholic theology, please let me know.

 

So what! There are many prophets of the day (and even from the past who have been approved and yet the Church is still guilty of grave sins against the faithful by NOT following the defined requests of even those approved ones; it has, through its bishops and others actually persecuted seers of even those approved messages and sites) and how many of the current, still ongoing messages and prophecies (in all cases just about, never receive approval while they are ongoing and with prophecies yet to be realized so that's not much of an excuse for those one just personally doesn't like) with their communicators/seers, of which the Church permits the reading or visiting of sites without full approval, are treated in the same knee jerk way as those of the day who have suffered ongoing persecution by the so called and self anointed "faithful"....in everything it seems but basic charity, and who, frankly offer reminders to the faithful which actually agree with the similar projections of the accepted ones? And, frankly, Fr. Iannuzzi has far more reliability, when one is truthfully discerning prophecies that pertain to the day, with the Church's thought, since his writings within his tome of expertise on the Divine Will....have officially been granted as a proper understanding, translation and interpretation of the writings of Luisa Piccarreta....by the Church examiners. Thus, you even have that benefit when using him and his great expertise with others when he speaks of TLIG. After all, Pope JPII ordered the necessary use of "reason" for such things....not just "faith" alone. But that reasoning takes maturity and actually a greater depth of knowledge to comprehend just what someone like such an expert would reason to a trust in any said prophecy of the day. And Fr. I's thought and writing about TLIG have not caused any reprimand towards those expressions, by the Church!

 

I think prophecy for some is all guess work. For me it is not. God said in both the old and new testaments that this is how he would speak to his people to warn them of the times and consequences for living lives apart from his holy and divine will. One does not need Ex cathedra statements or ever imprimatur to hear what God desires to speak to the times, only faith. God was often very critical of his prophets his messengers refusing to speak to the public what he asked them to reveal and they were admonished for not doing so. Verne to was admonished in messages in the book GSWYL for not wanting to write and reveal what God was asking to be known. Yet, it was his holy friend Cletus who knew better and understood a book was to be made of his friends messages from heaven and he did so. I am grateful to have found them here on this site a few years back and also grateful to have spoken with Verne for hours on end since then and have heard what God wanted to reveal while I have been on the phone with him. Perhaps I will post a recent one where God admonishes Verne (and us as well) in a recent message on Pride.

PROPHECY. The certain prediction of future events that cannot be known by natural means. However, the biblical meaning of the Hebrew hozeh (prophecy) is more general, namely "vision or "revelation interpreted." Those who were called upon to prophesy did, indeed, on occasion also foretell future events, but these predictions fulfilled were divine confirmations of an authentic vision rather than the vision itself. Prophecies as predictions are consequently part of God's supernatural providence. God, in whose sight all things future are ever present, is able to communicate to his creatures the knowledge that he has. He alone finally has this power, because certain foreknowledge of the contingent future is possessed only by God. Prophecies are the words of his prescience, just as miracles are the work of his omnipotence. Hence a religion supported by prophecies must be divine. (Etym. It can be pride that causes people to think God is addressing them personally and is in such a hurry that He will not wait for his Church (mystical body on earth) to do anything! I think God does everything in a timely manner and in the proper way. It is pride that keeps people from approaching those God gave the job of sifting through claims and finding which are false and which come from the evil one.

 

What you have said makes no sense. So in your opinion, what is a person to do who believes he/she is indeed receiving messages from heaven and asked to write them down? Ignore them? This would go against scripture, "do not despise prophecy". Not sure being "in such a hurry" means anything. Hurry for what? God does everything within the timeline of his will, however he provides plenty of warning before he chastises humanity, which most ignore. Nothing new there though, only Noah and his family survived the flood that he warned his people for 40 years and as scripture say's it will be the same again and this has been foretold in many prophecies since Fatima and Akita. You don't have to listen, but if you are to have any credibility in your distaste for the messages in GSWYL, then bring forth any errors you find so this thread can be removed by Padraig, which I would fully support. You won't do so, because you can't. That is what scripture warned about with those who despise prophecy. But your not the first to despise prophecy and you wont be the last.

 

Nicely put I daresay. I do have my own thoughts on this old god of the old testament. From the little I have read of that I think it somewhat repulsive as to some of the shenanigans/interpretation of the minds of man. I tend to think of God being a grandfather sort of figure. He would watch and see as to how all His little ones interact. Not being all that happy He could decide to renew His thoughts. Asking a sonn to help Him guide His children, a new covenant as it were.

Simple really as you think of this is My Son with whom I am well pleased...........

Sorry, my writing is bad! If a person believes he/she is receiving messages from heaven, they should write them down, find a good spiritual director, and certainly present them to Church officials before they publish & distribute them. Only the bishop of their diocese can judge/rule the validity of messages from heaven. Also, God will never give messages that require action before the Church has a chance to discern the messages, because He always works for the good of the Church on Earth, and not in opposition to it.

The evil one wants people to get excited and rush around and do things without waiting and praying and discerning and listening to the voice of God through His chosen spokesmen/bishops, who are shepherds and teachers.

You should not accuse others of despising prophecy, because how can you know who they are and what they feel? Also, earlier in the thread someone mentioned a link/past experience with the occult and the messenger, that is a red flag and certainly means the messenger must receive the guidance of proper authority before publishing something, lest people start spread messages on the internet that are wrong or harmful. Remember Locutions and Charlie Johnston and others, how many people were left upset and poorer because they believed what they had been told about some disaster happening very soon, and people took action right away without waiting to hear what the bishop/authorities would say.

You may want to rethink calling others “despisers of prophecy “remember we are called to do God’s will........Jesus Meek and Humble of Heart make my heart like unto Thine.
I believe Christy would not despise prophecy, she very well may follow Our Lady of Fatima, or other Church approved prophecies. To be cautious and use her God given prudence is to clearly follow the words of Our Lord when he admonished us to be wise.

4 And Jesus answered them, 'Take care that no one deceives you,

23 'If anyone says to you then, "Look, here is the Christ," or "Over here," do not believe it;

24 for false Christs and false prophets will arise and provide great signs and portents, enough to deceive even the elect, if that were possible.

26 'If, then, they say to you, "Look, he is in the desert," do not go there; "Look, he is in some hiding place," do not believe it;


I know quite a number of people were burnt following the writings and teachings of many false prophets such as LTTW, Charlie Johnson, Maria Divine mercy and bay-side, to name a few.

Christy and others who follow the Catholic faith are putting into practice Our Lord’s words above.

Christy1983, both Verne and Cletus had a very holy spiritual director who was/is also an exorcist. He would never had blessed 20,000 GSWYL books if he had not discerned its content first. This holy priest did not feel it essential to have an imprimatur in order for the books to be printed and handed out. Neither are many other messages whom the faithful read, such as Garabandal, Medjugorje and several others.

What I have found is that the faithful will hear and dismiss alleged prophecy or they will study and discern it and some come to accept it. No prophecy is essential for the believer to follow, not even approved messages/apparitions. God will provide the grace to discern if one is prayerfully asking. Yes, I know of Charlie very well. I studied him for years and well before his prophecy failures, I had dismissed his messages for various reasons as documented on the MOG forum. I am probably one of the few on MOG who has also studied Verne's messages, many times over and find them worthy of belief, as well as his spiritual director, monks and theologians who found nothing in them contrary to the faith.

There was one person who absolutely hated Verne's messages and did everything he could to see they did not get put into book form. When Cletus had a friend, who was very good with computer's, try and put Verne's messages into a document, so it could then be published in a book, his computer crashed. Not once, but every time he attempted to put a message in a Word document. His computer worked fine before and after trying to put these messages together. Finally, exorcism prayers before every message became necessary in order for all the messages to be put into a Word document. If these prayers were not said, the computer crashed. What should have taken this computer technician a short time to do, took him all night to accomplish. Satan did not want this book printed and only prayers to heaven before every single message made it possible to get it ready for the printer to make the books possible.

josephite, no one on the MOG forum is obliged to read or accept Verne's messages. Most will reject them on the surface without ever reading them. Others will who have read them will accept them for the spiritual value the give. What I find interesting is there is a few who only come on this thread to condemn them without ever reading them. These same people do the same to LynnFiat thread on the Divine Will. I find that very imprudent to say the least and have no time for the naysayers who can't justify there hatred for the messages in the book God Speaks Will You Listen www.godspeakswillyoulisten.org based on no substance of study on these alleged messages. I have asked over and again, for anyone to find something contrary to scripture or church teaching and only get personal hatred for the messages for no valid reason. This say's all I need to know about 1 Thessalonians 5: (19) Extinguish not the spirit. (20) Despise not prophecies.

6/27/07 This is how you can recognize the abomination of desolation. A false prophet or anti pope will proclaim the protestant doctrine of the mass to be correct. This is the one teaching that will change. The rest of my churches teachings can stay the same. Satan knows how to deprive my children of everlasting life, deprive my children of my presence. This is how the man of sin, the son of perdition will sit in the temple of God.Reference II Thessalonians 2:4-10. He will attempt to lead my people to deny my presence in the Eucharist and to teach the mass is only a symbol. This is antichrist. This will bring the wrath of God on the children of disobedience. This will cause the unleashing of the bowls of divine justice. My sacrifice of the mass daily holds back my Father’s justice. But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, faith on earth?(Luke 18:8). Will I find any of my children, who I recognize with my life in them? These are the questions which need to be pondered. My son, a false Christian church will be forced on the people. A gospel of prosperity and a make you feel good gospel will be preached. Then, these sheep who hear my voice will be forced to worship in underground churches where I will be present. This truly is the abomination of desolation and antichrist. Then I will come with the brightness of my coming, destroy this false church and restore my church according to my will.Then you will see an era of peace. Also....God does give His timeline, that time period in which God expects His Church to act on any private revelation. He works through the Church and has given the free will to those in authority so that they will be held to their decisions and those consequences for the world and the faithful. That has been so with what was explicitly asked for in probably the best known event in the whole world, Fatima. That one could not have been any clearer in what was expected. When the Church refuses to act or listens to what is ordered by this material world or geo-political excuses as in Fatima or even Vat II, then what has been openly warned within the apparition does take place as we ourselves are experiencing....probably the greatest consequence being the loss of faith. Several experts in discerning such things consider that such a delay by the Church through its various ministers' excuses or delays or even personal lack of interest/change of mind, etc., could be the reason why Joey Lomangino was taken, prior to what had been promised, literally, for him (many try to make excuses about what could possibly have been meant other than what had been expected for years). Again, the Church often seems to play around with the mystical, not taking such important helps from heaven seriously as if they aren't needed, since the hierarchy today is quite remote from the mystical, proud, and surrendered to the material alone. No courage! The educated members of the Body have as much right to discern such things as those in places of authority, for such things then benefit the few at least when they were intended for the whole world. They have the right to admit, like the man born blind in the gospels, what they have experienced in truth even if it differs with the goals of those in charge and even if they are threatened if they speak. That incident was a great example of authorities who tried, due to power alone, to shut down the best witness of God's power....that person who was the recipient of such intended graces that reveal God's power over defective humanity.

 

So, something about Protestantism that I have always found kind of weird is a trend, especially among Pentecostals, to randomly announce "God gave me a prophetic word!" with absolutely zilch to back up this claim, except the word of the seer, and quite a lot of assurance that "whoever does not back this prophetic apostolate is fighting against the Holy Spirit Himself!" And thousands of well-meaning, yet deeply gullible people go along with this, rarely step back to critically asses the likelihood that this is real, and simply take everything said at face value.

Anyone can say some nice-sounding, Christian things and get a following. Discernment from God Himself through the Church is unfortunately another thing that Protestants don't have access to. So these poor guys have to muddle through alone, try hard to be careful and discerning, and hopefully not become lead into further error by some hack prophet. This is tricky. I'm not saying that unkindly, I've been there, it's tough!

If we are blessed with a Church who can and does give wise judgements for us on these matters, imho it is better to go with what She says, and not allow ourselves to become caught up in things that are possibly problematic. I agree that there are a number of seers who at one time were not accepted, but later were declared to be authentic, and Saints. But lots of discernment and caution is needed. And though things might seem to go very, very slowly, I can assure you that that is a thousand thousand times safer that what sometimes happens in the Protestant world. Every man is a prophet, and discernment is tough.
