I honestly don’t see anything wrong with the short prayer invoking the Precious Blood as promoted by Fr Blount.

Unfortunately the site Catholic Planet is run by Ron Conte a man known well for his failed predictions with regard to the date of the miracle of Garabandal --
That site is best avoided as he is contentious to say the least.

Troubling. I wonder why Fr Blount urges to pray this prayer. He says the prayer has an imprimatur. The bishop has endorsed it.(n)

When the pope’s actions and words go against both orthodoxy and orthopraxis it is both our right AND our duty to point it out, if only for the edification of our brethren and to protect them from being lead into perdition.

The idea this pope is beyond rational and prudent criticism by anyone except the hierarchy is preposterous. It is an error.

Brian, I think that the issue is not about the laity criticizing the pope. I believe that nearly everyone on the forum has criticized the pope, probably on multiple occasions. The issue I believe is that all of us realize that we do not have the power to do anything else but criticize him. For instance, we can not form a commission to investigate whether or not he is an anti-pope and until one has found the pope to be an anti-pope I don't think that we should assume that he is such. Btw, I'm not saying that you have done this and I'm also not saying that we can't discuss this possibility. All we can do is pray about these things. I think people here are weary of falling the other way away from the Church also and they don't want to convince others to do so either. We are walking a tightrope but if we stay with the orthodox teachings of the Church we will maintain our balance.+

Yes in regard to the actual author, Marco Tosatti is silent:

Dear friends and foes of Stilum Curiae, a scholar has sent us this short essay which we gladly offer for your attention, convinced that it may be of great interest. Happy reading.
