Not sure why exactly they are doing this if they are not targeting ISIS but praying for peace! God Bless!
Doesn't look good....pray+++ Pray for our military that St. Michael will protect them and pray for our leaders that they make right decisions....because I have zero faith in them. My only faith is in my Lord....my savior....+
Please, try some other information source than US-media sometimes! Sigh... don't believe every story they tell... This is information war. --- I live in Finland and I still am quite calm about Russia. How is that possible? http://www.rt.com/news/317101-russia-isis-strikes-intelligence/
Good Question Daria! I don't trust US "Media" either ... but considering Finland's situation from The Winter War of 1940 through the Cold War and Soviet Domination (Finlandization), If I were a Finlander, Russia would be the last country I would be "calm" about! Russia, no doubt, is just a Pawn in The Storm ... like we all are In any case let's pray for our Christian Comrades in the Middle East and wherever they are persecuted. Heartlight Daily Verse - 1 October Matthew 5:11-12 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Thoughts on today's verse: For most who can read this Internet message, the sentiments of this verse seem foreign. But among those who closely study persecution, believers in Christ are enduring perhaps the greatest amount of persecution in the history of Christianity. For those of us who live in cozy places where belief is tolerated and Christians are just considered "unhip" or a bit out of touch, we need to be thankful that our lives make enough of a distinction from our culture to be noticed, even if it's a bit unfavorably. But at the same time, we need to pray for other believers throughout the world who are undergoing the wrath of hell for the faith. Prayer: Great Deliverer, we have many who call on your name with faith in Jesus who face persecution and hardship every day. I pray that they will not lose heart and give up their confidence. I pray that you will bring deliverance from this time of persecution. I pray that their sufferings will be the source of powerful witness so others will come to see the great value of Jesus and our allegiance to him. This I pray in his precious and holy name. Amen. To me this is not an issue of US or Russia being right - frankly I don't trust anyone anymore in terms of governments. It's not like Russia is "good" and the US is "evil" or vice-versa. These are entities of the world seeking worldly solutions when the ultimate solution and resolution is going to require supernatural intervention. Before we canonize Putin and Russia, remember on e of the tired and true ways to get your country out if recession and to enkindle nationalism is start a war: http://www.cnbc.com/2015/10/01/millions-of-russians-affected-by-bankruptcy-law.html To me the issue is we have three superpowers in a confined space each seeking their own interests. I'm concerned that a "mistake" could set off a war. I'm just praying
Interesting article http://gizadeathstar.com/2015/10/russia-in-the-middle-east-putin-speaks-to-his-officers/ RUSSIA IN THE MIDDLE EAST: PUTIN SPEAKS TO HIS OFFICERS Posted on October 1, 2015 by Joseph P. Farrell • 0 Comments While we're on the topic of the geopolitical earthquake taking place in Europe and the Middle East with Mr. Putin's recent decision to answer calls for military assistance from Damascus, consider the contents - the extremely important contents - of this article shared by Mr. M.S.: Putin to Russian army officers: operation 'Salvation' shall begin soon, you must prepare to cleanse Syria from Obama's terrorists Consider the remarks that Moskovskaya Pravda reported that Mr. Putin made to his officers: "We have nearly two million orthodox Christians in the Levant—Syria and Lebanon— and approximately 5 million Christians across Middle-East. Regardless of America's presidential election outcome, White House craves chaos in that oil-rich region by supporting fanatic Islamist organizations, i.e. ISIS and al-Nusra Front," Moskovskaya Pravda cited the Russian president as saying. It is morally incumbent upon Russia to change this terrible status quo in the Middle-East , added Mr.Putin , prepare for operation 'Salvation' and with God almighty's aid , we shall cleanse Syria from Obama's ruthless terrorists. This is another geopolitical earthquake, for if Mr. Putin did indeed make such remarks, it is an indication that Mr. Putin's government is prepared to revive the old foreign policy, and role, of Russia under the Tsars, namely, to act as the guarantor of Orthodox Christians within Europe and the Middle East. This comes as no surprise to this author, for I've been insisting for many years both publicly and private(most recently in private correspondence to a friend in Indonesia) that the West's - largely America's - reading of Mr. Putin and his government is entirely wrong. Strong-handed he may be, but he is not a throwback to Stalin, but rather to the late autocracy of Nicholai I or perhaps Alexander II and so on. Notably, in his remarks, Mr. Putin also clearly stated that the USA is ultimately behind the rise of the radical ISIS group. But there is also another target of Mr. Putin's remarks: Addressing the Russian top brass on Wednesday, Vladimir Putin lambasted U.S. Middle-East policy for being 'disastrous' as Saudi-backed rebels vowed to purge Syria and Iraq from Christians and other ethnic and religious minorities.(Emphasis added) In other words, Moscow is simply not going to sit idly by and allow the USA and its radicalized allies to commit genocide against minorities in the name of a foreign policy being dictated by Wahhabism, and thereby to destablize the entire region. These statements, along with the recent meetings of the French, Russian, and German foreign minsiters in Berlin, indicate that the geopolitical earthquake now taking place in response to what is increasingly perceived as disastrous American meddling in the Middle East, and its unimaginably disastrous policy of backing radical Islamicist groups, is neither a transitory nor illusory phenomenon. It is fast becoming a major and semi-permanent feature of the geopolitics of the region. These statements, couple with Moscow's and Tehran's mutual alliance, and the role that France, Germany, and Russia played behind the scenes in brokering the nuclear agreement with Iran, plus those recent and sudden Saudi trips and overtures to Moscow, indicate just how precarious Washington's and Riyadh's position is fast becoming. Add France, Germany, and possibly even China to the mix, and even London's growing but quietly voiced maneuvering to position itself favorably with China's New Silk Road intentions, and the earthquake is heading toward the upper reaches of the Richter scale. Clearly, Mr. Putin has now openly stated what has long been argued in the west's alternative press: the radical terrorist group of today was yesterday's "freedom fighters," and their ties go all the way to Washington, Riyadh, and Ankara, and to the old wounds that are still festering from World War One. What remains to be seen is how Paris and Berlin will react to such claims and statements, for react they must. My high octane speculation? I suspect that the reaction, at least officially, will be to attempt toi strike an unrealistic "balance" bewteen Mr. Putin's claims, and Washington's denials. But the real thing to watch will be the French and German populations, and the parties in opposition to their governments, for the average Frenchman and German also is feeling the pressure and fallout from Washington's disastrous policies in the growing refugee crisis in Europe. And there's one final player in this geopolitical earthquake that we must remember in this context, one who is often overlooked, and who, his nutty pronouncements about climate change notwithstanding, has weighed in on the Middle East, and that's Pope Francis I, for recall, not too long ago, that he made the very un-ecumenical statement to the effect that Christians do have the right to defend themselves against radical Islamcism. Many of the Christians that Mr. Putin refers to in his reported remarks are in fact Maronite Eastern Rite Roman Catholics, particularly in Lebanon and western Syria, and even in Damascus itself. My prediction? Excpect more personal meetings between Mr. Putin and the Pope, and expect them in the near future, possibly even in Moscow. And that will be - for those familair both with recent Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox history - an earthquake of an altogether different kind, one both geopolitical and religious, all at once. I hope you are right, but remember last time Russia got involved in the ME- in Afghanistan and the Taliban- that didn't exactly work out well for them. But more importantly, if ISIS is gone, it doesn't change the realities of the ME which still have Sunni and Shiites hating each other; it doesn't resolve the centuries of tribal animosities. It may corral it and may stop the awful atrocities, which is great, but I suspect they will always have conflict there
I've never believed the Western narrative regarding Putin and Assad because from day one of that narrative the West has been demonizing Putin and Assad. I also realized from day one of the "Arab Spring" that this was not a popular uprising but rather a Western-sponsored, funded and armed attempt at regime change. There never were popular uprisings in Libya or Egypt or Syria. They were carefully managed and filmed "protests" that the Western media propaganda machine spun as "mass uprisings." In Syria, the majority of Christians and other minorities support Assad overwhelmingly. Assad is not the monster the Western propaganda machine has falsely portrayed him to be. There never was a popular uprising against him. The "Syrian Rebels" aren't really Syrian and aren't really rebelling. They are paid mercenaries. Putin understands the game that is being played, whether in the Middle East or in Ukraine:
Syria is an independent, sovereign nation. Any country entering and bombing uninvited by the Syrian government is breaking international law. Basically the US has been doing this for years in various countries. Assad invited Russia. Assad did not invite the US. The US is covertly backing terrorists to overthrow Assad pretending they care soooo much about the Syrian people, they don't. This has lead the a huge support for ISIS by the US since many of the free Syrian movement are just thugs and cross over ISIS members. The US foreign policy is psychotic in every way. Sending weopons, training etc. then bombing same. By their fruit...... Is Russia a saint, no. But in this case the USA is 100% wrong so yes I side with Russian stance much more. Russia is going after US supplied ISIS not Syrian infastructure and political members under the guise of fighting ISIS.

How do you know Russia is going after US supplied ISIS and not Syrian infrastructure? Are you there, in Sytria, as you say these things? That's a pretty strong statement. I'm sure Russia wasn't the aggressor in Ukraine either, right, and that wasn't the President of Georgia I saw on the news a few years back BEGGING for help in defending their country against that Russian invasion, come on now. It only takes a match to start a forest fire, RUSSIA is the match, wait and see!

It only takes a match to start a forest fire, RUSSIA is the match, wait and see![/quote] It is very debatable whether Russia has been the prime aggressor in the Ukraine. Regardless, major powers are always liable to interfere with neighbouring sovereignties within their sphere of influence and the frequent invocation of its Monroe Doctrine by the U.S. is another example. This is not particularly sinister. The background to this entire civil war is European ambition for an oil pipe-line from Saudi Arabia, but Syria stands in the way. Assad, as was his right, chose to act in the interests of his long-time ally, Russia, who would of course prefer to be the ones to sell oil to Europe. It is all the "great game" between the powers and I support Russia marginally because they seem by far the more competent and primarily because it looks the better option for the Christians whom Obama was selling out to the wolves. It is definitely a very risky situation that could very easily spin out of control and I would be very wary of Obama in an acute crisis. His golfing obsession will do him no good if nukes get launched. I'm not Russian, but Irish, by the way.
20 years ago I read a web site from a man, who I think is now deceased, who said WWIII would start when we saw Iranian led muslims band together with Russia and China and consolidate power and the muslims all would fall into line behind Iran after the muslims fought amongst each other for power, with Iran emerging the victor. Then this alliance of Iranian led muslims, Russia, and China would attack Europe and the U.S. And he said this would happen shortly after we saw the unrest/riots in Europe (check), the US weakened militarily and economically (check), China become a military power (check) and Iran get the bomb (check?). 20 years ago he wrote these things and I thought, yea right, we're the US. Buckle up, double down on the rosaries and finish your preparations.

Did I not read somewhere that the antiChrist lite figure is supposed to emerge this month? Well if Putin wins all round him in Syria, and odds are that he and Assad will, then maybe he will emerge as a great military hero?
"When communism comes again then everything will happen". Who on this thread believes it will be America who invades Europe and Rome, and the Vatican? Anyone who has read about the biography and rise of Putin will for sure realize that he is not one of the good guys. I'm not trying to say Obama is either, but Putin is not a good guy and he also has an agenda. None of this is gona go well for Israel.
Russia is no longer Communist. And Russia has neither the intention nor the capacity to invade and occupy Europe. Russia's actions in Syria are entirely just and long overdue. It is about time someone came to the defense of the Catholics and other minorities of Syria who are being butchered by Obama and McCain's band of "Syrian Rebels" or ISIS or whatever you want to call these mercenaries. Pope Francis himself asked for effective military action against ISIS. I don't consider the West's military aciton against ISIS to have been effective. With hundred of NATO sorties flown against ISIS, ISIS has only gained ground on the battlefield. It sort of makes you wonder who Obama is actually bombing. Regaring Mr. Putin being a "bad guy" I don't find any evidence of that. All the book alleging that he is a "bad guy" were written by his political opponents either in the West or back in Russia. I judge the man on his own words and his own actions and have come to the conclusion that Putin, not Obama, is the leader of the free world.
Putin is certainly not a "good guy", but the Obama regime also seems communistic. The same applies to many of the socialistic regimes in Europe, not to mention the Marxist/culturally Marxist leaderships of the UN and EU. It is not Russia which is attempting to force abortion, birth control and homosexuality throughout the world. Nevertheless, the prophecies do posit attack upon Europe by Russia, but we don't know the timing. For the moment, my concern would be with the Syrian Christians principally and Russian intervention seems the most likely to prevent their destruction. We must pray. As for Israel, there is a school of thought that the lobbying of Washington neo-cons by the U.S. Jewish lobby since the time of George Bush Snr. may bear considerable responsibility for the sequence of events since then. It was General Wesley Clarke who spoke in 2007 of a document in the Pentagon which he claimed outlined the "taking out" of seven countries; Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen and Iran. Very few of this list remain standing and who could possibly be a beneficiary? If Iran survives, which looks likely, then the plan will have failed.
Russia is good US is bad.....no wait. U.S. Is good and Russia is bad. No it's Putin is good and Obama is bad. This debate has been going on for as long as I have been on the forum and it never gets resolved and yet here we are again. No one knows the answer here or anywhwhere except God. There is a definite plan going on and the foolish thing is that those in the world think they have the plan when in the end it is only God's plan that matters. Stan has been working his plan since the beginning but we already know how the story ends. Christ is already victorious. Any plan being carried out by Stan now is God's plan for the end of the story. It is pointless to debate this Russia US issue because if we are at the end of the story here it is about to get real bad real fast and we better be preparing spiritually right now. Our very souls are at stake.
