Share Your Dreams and/or Visions

I have dreamt this as well (I'm in Ireland too). I live close to the sea and I dreamt that I woke up one morning and the water level had risen right up to my front steps.

I had a similar dream about the moon a few years ago, I posted it on the forum at the time on this or another one of the dream threads. I must look for it to save me typing it out again, but I still remember it very clearly.

 

The feeling in the dream is one of disbelief and desolation. Some areas of the world are uninhabitable in the dream. Everyone seems shocked and unprepared.

 

Sometimes the "dreams" we have are graces that God gives us to warn us or to teach us and not necessarily dreams. If they seem as though you cannot tell if you are dreaming or actually seeing a vision, then God is trying to tell you something. Do not disregard them but discern their meaning and also ask their meaning. Most times, even many years later, you will be given the understanding, and many times they are not what you first perceived them to mean.

It makes me think of St Patrick's prayer for Ireland. You probably know the essence of it better than I do but I believe he got God to promise that before Ireland could fall into the power of the antichrist the whole island would be covered by the sea.

 

I have had a very similar dream about water on and off my whole life. And huge waves crashing in
to plate glass windows.

 

Hi everyone, I visited a self styled "shaman" in Ireland for supposed healing before my conversion to catholicism a number of years ago. I am still dealing with some of the negative consequences of it, spiritually; psychologically etc . Please pray for my healing if you have time. Thanks! God bless.

Saint Sanctus,

I am the first one to believe in the created one...but it’s also in the mind. Even curses are only real, if you let them in. As strong as spells, curses and spiritual manifestations are...it takes us to believe in them. Once we believe.we are hooked. Yes. there are spiritual attacks everyday. But many spiritual attacks can only touch us if God allows it or we mentally let it become reality.

This is someone who needs healing from past woundedness. A cucumber is not a pickle, but a pickle cannot go back to being a cucumber. What you said is true, a soul in a state of grace is protected. True. But what I said is also true.

 

Over the years, for 45 years, God has given me dreams of seas rising and inundating my South Island of New Zealand.

 

For your discernment:

Back in Oct., 1996 (I came into the Catholic Church just 3 years before), during my morning prayers while still lying in bed, with my eyes open I saw a vision of a glistening sea of water as though the sun was shining on the waves making them appear as a sea of glass. It was so very beautiful and left me with a feeling of great peace. Suddenly, up from the sea came a large dark mass beginning on the left side and then covering the sea completely. Upon seeing this I became frightened and the peace I previously felt left me.

A while later while getting ready for Mass, I heard in my interior "I do not want you to drown in the sea of doubt." About 15 minutes later I heard, "Take heed of My words as I do not want you to be swept away in the tide of disbelief that is coming upon the world." While pondering these words later that day, I realized that this was not told for me alone, but for everyone.

Thank you Lynn for sharing this. Doubt is a terrible enemy to faith. The image of something dark rising from the left and moving across the sea disturbing the calm is a vivid picture of it. And yes i believe it is for all of us. A salient warning. I believe Our Lady and our holy Angel's are our best allies in these "attacks" on faith.

 

Following a disagreement over what we considered a small matter, a couple who are neighbours have been waging a war against myself and my wife. We have been slandered, openly insulted and mocked, had refuse dropped in front of our door during the night and suffered much more. We could hardly believe the ferocity of their reaction and the fact that it seems to be never-ending. Only one of our other neighbours has witnessed any of this and suffered some himself for defending us and he is very supportive but the other neighbours seem to think that these people are great and that we are somehow at fault.
So, I have prayed for an escape from this situation, that they will move away or at least stop their games but there has been no respite over four long years. Today, having received Communion, I prayed again about this situation and was very surprised to hear a clear message on the subject which was: "These people have done these cruel things to others in the past and so are in great spiritual peril. What was I to do but to have them do it to someone who would understand that they needed prayer and sacrifice if they are ever to repent of this behaviour and be saved. I expected you to pray and make sacrifices for them and I have waited in vain. Do it and do it soon."
I never looked at this situation in that light, nor other similar situations in the past. It seems that we sometimes suffer the attention of evil people so that we are alerted to their spiritual poverty and to administer the remedy which is, in part anyway, in our own hands. (Please say a Hail Mary for these people.)
