Share Your Dreams and/or Visions

I dream very frequently about eating something or chewing something, usually chewing gum. In the dream I am trying to get the chewing gum out of my mouth but can't. it just keeps on stretching and stretching. I try everything to get it out but it won't come out. A friend told that it has something to do with powerlessness, perhaps. Last night I dreamed it was a candy bar and no matter how much I chewed on it it wouldn't break down. Strange to be having this dream so often ...

 

I have some repeating dreams that have gone on for years. Both about houses.

 

I have had 3 dreams in 11 years involving meteors falling from the sky and hitting me. Also where the sky is black and flashing.

in my childhood, long before converting, I had a dream of walking in an incredibly bright outdoor courtyard, made of yellow bricks. In was so bright I had to squint my eyes. There was a large gigantic wooden door in front of me, probable 10 or 20 feet high, at the end of the passageway. I was going to open it somehow and go inside. When I woke up I thought it was heaven.

 

Jan. 29, 1997

Before Mass I was in the Adoration chapel and a great sadness suddenly came over me. It is impossible to describe what I felt and saw interiorly. My attempt to explain:

I saw a vision of Jesus standing at a distance from me and could feel that He was very angry. I then saw a very large bowl in His hands and it looked as though He were about to pour it out. I then saw Our Lady standing off to His right side looking at Him and I ran to Her side dropping to the ground. I called Her, but She did not answer, nor did she look at me but continued to look at Jesus. I called again and she said very softly, “Son”. The bowl then disappeared from Jesus’ hands and the vision left.

I understood from this that it is only Our Lady who can hold back the hand of God. Pray many Rosaries!

 

So this isn't a dream but dont know who else to share this with and feel like only my brothers and sisters in Christ in this forum would "get it".
Last night while watching the news, "The National" in Canada, they started talking about the fact that there is not enough representation of LGBT on television and writers are now starting to create parts for them so we can have an all inclusive representation..etc. then they started showing images of gays kissing ..both males and females..my husband I were so dismayed and I closed my eyes so I didn't have to see it and all of a sudden our tv turned off. I mean the power went right off on the TV. We hadn't moved..all the lights in the house were still on and we nevet lost power not for a second. The on light on the TV had changed to its off colour of red. We just looked at each other and I clapped and thanked my guardian angel, Arnel..(that's what I think his name is). I was stunned and greatful all at the same time. Divine intervention? Maybe because we consecrated ourselves and our property a few months, no evil spirits are permitted to enter our propety? That's what my thought was. I told my husband we pray and we think we believe and when something like that happens we are surprised..Where's our faith? But it just reaffirmed my belief in the protection from the concecration to Jesus, Our Lady and St. Joseph.

We hardly watch tv any more and now even the news is throwing this in our face. I mean at least at the end of each day we'd like to know what's happening in the world. Im so sick of it.. we truly need a network for Christians that doesn't contain sex, violence, obscenity, speach, etc. I guess given what's happening in the world its all part and parcel of the same devil!

I have the very same repeating dreams about houses. One dream that repeats is the same house and rooms. I am aware in the dream that I am back there again.

 

Yep. Over and over with minor variations each time.

 

Lol, we need to keep a sense of humor.

It is important to realize the writers of the New Testament were, as you say, dependent on the Septuagint. Take for instance the following reference from Ps 40 in the Septuagint which points to Christ's sacrificial body in the Letter to the Hebrews:

Hebrews 10:5 Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said, "Sacrifices and offerings thou hast not desired, but a body hast thou prepared for me; 6 in burnt offerings and sin offerings thou hast taken no pleasure. 7 Then I said, `Lo, I have come to do thy will, O God,' as it is written of me in the roll of the book."

However, if you read Psalm 40 in your own Bible it probably reads:

6 Sacrifice and offering thou dost not desire; but thou hast given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering thou hast not required. 7 Then I said, "Lo, I come; in the roll of the book it is written of me.

The difference is caused by the fact that our OT translations are sometimes taken from the Masoretic translation, but our New Testament translations are most clearly faithful to the Septuagint because that is the one New Testament authors utilized. All this might seem technical, but dependence of the early Church on the Septuagint is a deciding factor on why Catholic Bibles have, and should have, 73 books. Luther was the main culprit leading to Protestant Bibles incorrectly having only 66 books.

I have repeating dreams about a specific house, too. I know every room, but have never been there.

 

Whats funny is that I am often doing that in the dream. Just a few nights ago the very thing!

 

Praise God! Would that He would turn everyone's tv's off when evil comes on the screen!
The other day I was reading something on my cell phone that someone had sent me - I can't remember what it was right now, but it was something holy. Suddenly a very evil face popped up on my phone - it was so evil and moved, sticking his tongue out at me. I immediately shut my phone down. We must realize that the evil is getting much worse as satan is having his last hurrah and knows that his time is almost up!

 

YES! Spiritually, of course.

 

For news, I watch both EWTN and SkyNews in Australia. Online, of course. I don't have TV because live in a spot that you CANNOT get an over-the-air TV signal, and it's not worth the money for me to get even the basic package for cable. (I only use cable for its internet.)

 

this often happens to me too, in the dream it is always an old house without windows, very long and narrow like a shoe box, as it is an aged wood it seems to be an old place, I am integrated with having the same dream with the such similar details.

 

I had something similar happen Lynn. It was unsettling. I shut my phone off.

 

About those dreams about "houses", Jesus tells us this through Luisa Piccarreta:
