Padraig, I was in the Czech Republic about 2 years ago. The Country looks so Catholic, Catholic statues everywhere! Beautiful church’s everywhere! I went primarily to see the Infant of Prague church, and statue. It was so uplifting to finally see the statue! I had such a devotion to it for so long. The priest at that church were wonderful and very full of Jesus! However, most of the rest of the church’s that I went used them for concert halls. Almost the whole country is filled with non believers even though it looks like such a Catholic country, which it once was! It is very sad to see. My son has a girlfriend from the Czech Republic,in fact he is meeting her in Mexico today, then she heads to Us in the USA for the summer. I am hoping she will be more open to the Faith.
TinNM, this such a touching story! My daughter just had twins!! I had the privilege of helping take care of them for about 2weeks. They were so small, and I kept thinking how many woman abort their babies. I am so glad this woman changed her mind! Praise Jesus!
Archbishop Cordileone Rebukes Abortion-Supporting Legislators’ Take on Communion Debate ‘First Things’ published the San Francisco shepherd’s paragraph-by-paragraph response to the ‘statement of principles.’ CNA StaffNationJune 25, 2021 On June 23, First Things published Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone’s paragraph-by-paragraph response to the “statement of principles,” a document developed by 60 Democratic legislators in response to the USCCB vote to create their own Eucharistic document. Each of the Democratic signers of the statement is pro-abortion. Archbishop Cordileone’s rejoinder surfaces logical inconsistencies and practical contradictions as well as theological errors contained within the statement. To the point that Democratic members are “committed to making real the basic principles that are at the heart of Catholic social teaching: helping the poor, disadvantaged, and the oppressed, protecting the least among us and ensuring that all Americans of every faith are given meaningful opportunities to share in the blessings of this great country,” Archbishop Cordileone offered the rebuttal, “One of the ‘basic principles’ of Catholic belief is … [d]on’t intentionally kill, or collude in enabling others to kill, innocent human life.” More: Archbishop Cordileone Rebukes Abortion-Supporting Legislators’ Take on Communion Debate| National Catholic Register (ncregister.com) Next, Dan Lipinski is a former Democratic legislator from Illinois, he is pro-life. CATHOLIC POLITICIANS, ABORTION, AND THE EUCHARIST by Daniel Lipinski6 . 25 . 21 On June 17, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops voted to draft a teaching document on the Eucharist. The next day, a group of sixty Catholic Democratic members of the House of Representatives responded to this decision with a “Statement of Principles.” In this statement, they argued against the “denial of the Holy Eucharist to certain elected officials” who support “legal access to abortion.” This statement—along with a tweet from one of the sixty signatories that challenged core Catholic teachings—demonstrates the pressing need for a teaching document on the Eucharist and reveals issues that the bishops need to address. I served for sixteen years in the House. I was defeated in the 2020 Democratic primary election largely because I was an outspoken pro-life voice and voted for the unborn. The Democratic party was once the political home of most American Catholics, but over the past 40 years the party has become increasingly less tolerant of Americans who are pro-life, causing many Catholics to leave the party. Despite this exodus, polls indicate that between one-quarter and one-third of Democratic voters still describe themselves as pro-life. I ran for Congress as a Democrat because the party was traditionally the champion of hardworking middle-class Americans. I also believed it was (and is) important to have pro-life voices in the party. But the nature of partisanship in America has changed in recent years. The parties have become fundamentalist religions. The Democratic party hierarchy has made extreme abortion policy a primary doctrine and has demonstrated that a price will be paid for apostasy. For Democratic politicians, the penalty is a full-on effort to end one’s political career. It is enforced by abortion groups that provide plenty of campaign workers and form super PACs with huge amounts of money. These groups spent over $6 million to campaign against me in the 2018 and 2020 Democratic primaries. The party hierarchy enforces the doctrine both publicly and surreptitiously. In the 2020 primary, five presidential candidates endorsed my main primary opponent to signal to activists that they rejected pro-life Democrats. Behind the scenes, local party officials worked against me and Democratic campaign vendors refused to work for me. I am certainly glad the Colombian president is okay...and everyone else as well. Colombia offers reward after presidential helicopter shooting Colombia has offered a reward of three billion pesos ($796,000; £573,000) for information about an attack on the president's helicopter. Iván Duque was nearing Cúcuta airport near the border with Venezuela when his aircraft was hit by gunfire on Friday. Photos released later showed bullet holes in the rotor and tail of the helicopter. Nobody on board was injured. The UN, EU and US have all condemned the attack. ... Earlier this month the ELN denied any involvement in a car bomb attack on a military base in Cúcuta. The attack injured 36 people, including two US military advisers. More: Colombia offers reward after presidential helicopter shooting - BBC News I had not even heard about that prior attack. Pretty bad.
Colombians are fighting against a marxist take over. Very hard times there. Marino Restrepo the Catholic evangelist is from there and has spoken of this.
My husband is almost full-blooded Czech. His great-grandpa (paternal) brought his family here to West, TX in the early 1900's. His mom's family is Czech too, and all on both sides are Catholic. Unfortunately, during my husband's generation, there's been a great falling away from the faith. Only one of his many cousins is a practicing Catholic, despite most of them attending Catholic schools, and even his own brother fell away. Now their kids are being born into Godless families and not even baptized. It's devastating what has happened to faith in the last few decades.
It certainly appears strong still in Poland. Blue Church in Bratislava, Slovakia. I see how in much of Europe, yes, there seens to be a falling away.
The racial tension is bad, I saw a story coming out of Boston about a possible "white supremacist" who went and shot some people. Winthrop, MA Shooting Investigated as Hate Crime – NBC New York And yet, at the same time, this one person shot a Florida police officer, he may be a "black nationalist". Man accused of shooting Daytona Beach officer arrested near Atlanta (news4jax.com) Police said the property is affiliated with a Black nationalist paramilitary organization. It just seems like the stories may get different type of coverage. So, yes, inflaming tensions is a road to no where. ----------- Also, per a prior post, I am wary of saying too much that such and such a country has lost their faith, yes, that might be true for a majority but it seems there are still many devout around, say for a country like France and maybe even Belgium... and so on.
About two years ago, Slovakia elected this lady as president, she was running on a platform to fight corruption and a big story back then, was a young journalist and his girlfrend or wife (I forget) were slain. I believe he was investigating corruption. Zuzana Caputova: Čaputová supports maintaining the status quo regarding abortion and reproductive rights: "If there is an extreme situation and the dilemma is between deciding whether to adopt a legal norm that will intrude upon the personal lives of citizens or leave it to women's responsibility and their personal choice, I choose the responsibility of a woman".[29] Zuzana Čaputová - Wikipedia That may not be the perfect answer for some... but it doesn't seem to be as radical as some views. I don't know much about her...

This Black Fungus is spreading across India very, very rapidly. It spreads from the eyes to the brain causing death. They remove the eyes to stop it. I am wondering if it is associated with vaccinations? It appears very similiar to DNA altering vaccine mal effects? To area specific Thrombosis associated with blood clotting? The clinicians describe it as a , 'Fungus', I doubt this. ( A specific Pathology linked to vaccine blood clotting?) Comments?
I understand this Black Fungus is already known in India. It seems to spread in certain weather or climate conditions. It is just devastating it should surface in the middle of the covid pandemic. Please God they will get it under control. I don't think it came out of the covid or the vaccines. Please God it will not take root in the UK, there are so many people travelling between these two countries, you never know. God protect and preserve us all.
You are right Julia. DR john Campbell spoke of this several weeks ago. It is known in India already but has been exacerbated by the virus. Poor India.
Sad, Senator Cruz does a good job, God Bless Him and God Bless Texas! Sen. Cruz: Democrats would force their radical pro-abortion orthodoxy on the entire country “to strike down any state laws protecting human life” June 18, 2021 NRL News Editor’s note. As National Right to Life explained yesterday, on Wednesday, members of the Senate Judiciary Committee heard testimony almost entirely in favor of the so-called Women’s Health Protection Act sponsored by pro-abortion Sen. Richard Blumenthal. WHPA is designed to remove all legal protections for unborn children on both the federal and state level. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), a member of the Committee, criticized Democrats for their radical legislation. The following are excerpts of Sen. Cruz’s remarks. “Forty-eight years ago, the Supreme Court created a right to abortion that had never before existed, that had never received a vote from the American people, that could never have been imagined by the drafters of the Constitution. As Justice Thomas recently wrote, the Supreme Court, ‘Created the right to abortion out of whole cloth without a shred of support from the Constitution’s text.’ Sen. Claire Cronin nominated as new US Ambassador to Ireland Updated / Thursday, 24 Jun 2021 By Brian O'Donovan Washington Correspondent US President Joe Biden has announced Claire Cronin as his nominee for the position of US Ambassador to Ireland. Ms Cronin currently serves as a Representative, and as Majority Leader, in the state legislature of Massachusetts. She is also a lawyer and campaigned for Mr Biden in Massachusetts during the 2020 presidential election. Claire Cronin nominated as new US Ambassador to Ireland (rte.ie) LifeNews said about her: Biden Nominates Legislator Who Sponsored Abortions Up to Birth Bill as Ambassador to Ireland National | Micaiah Bilger | Jun 29, 2021 | Joe Biden keeps choosing radical pro-abortion politicians to fill positions in his administration. One of his newest nominees — Massachusetts state Rep. Claire Cronin, D-Easton, for U.S. ambassador to Ireland — was the lead advocate of legislation that expanded abortions up to birth in her state, the New Boston Post reports. Reacting to the news, the Catholic Action League of Massachusetts called Cronin an “abortion extremist” even though she, like Biden, is Catholic. “The Claire Cronin appointment reflects, accurately, the Culture of Death values which define the Biden administration, and which have guided Joe Biden’s 50-year political career. Cronin’s choice will likely prove popular in what is now a thoroughly de-Christianized, post-Catholic Ireland,” said C.J. Doyle, executive director of the Catholic organization, in a statement.
