Yes ...if you chat to many Irish people they will tell you that whatever happens in the United States eventually comes to Ireland. Its the same for the countries of the rest of the Western world. From my limited knowledge, it would seem that the errors of Russia refer specifically to the goals of communism - which were derived from and by the manifesto. The States were deliberately and skillfully 'infected' by it. The States picked it up from Russia and passed it on - as they knew it would. It was a diabolical plan. But its 'bearing fruit' now, in our era.

My FSSP priest yesterday at Mass said "In a few months we will be behind enemy lines...and the priests will be lighting the beacons..." Lots of us parishioners were talking about his sermon at an event later (my husband just became a Knight of Columbus). We were all really struck by it, but I don't know what he meant will happen in a few months. The image of the priests lighting the beacons was sobering and made me tear up.
