Have you noticed how things are breaking down all around us? I have. In at least a hundred different ways. Hundreds of flights and ferry crossings being cancelled because of staff shortages. Rocketing prices in just about everything, especially fuel and energy. Social unrest everywhere, for instance in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Employers unable to get staff. Sickness everywhere. Strikes starting up. Massive scandals involving corruption in the highest places being exposed. Open heresy being preached in the very highest places in the Church. Shortages including food shortages everywhere. Terrible wars. Weird murders The list goes on and on and on. It reminds me of watching this huge landslide in slow motion.
Chaos, confusion, war, all kinds of horrific evil. Satan is throwing everything he's got at the world.
He is so strong. You can practically see himself and the other demons stamping about the place. But the weirdest thing of all is that most people, including Church people continue to disbelieve in his existence, when the evidence is right in front of them.
Here in Southern Maryland there has been a drastic increase of motor vehicle accidents, and in increase in resulting fatalities. Also, an inexplicable and dramatic increase in fires: homes, businesses, cars, brush and woods. Just in my small area of Maryland! It has become so noticeable that people are commenting on it.
Everyday there are new things to indicate things are out of control. One one hand people can't afford to heat their homes and on the other the government try sto people cut turf in the name of climate change. War, famine, pestilence, financial woe almost all at the same time. Tuning out brings peace, God is very close. I am starting to see the fight back from God every day now as well.
I was finding peace last night on Holy Monday thinking of the village of Bethany were Jesus stayed with his good friends Lazarus, Martha and Mary before moving onwards to die. He loved this family so much that when Lazarus died, we are told, He wept. I was thinking how consoling it must have been for Jesus to have this home to stay in for a while to rest after working so hard. Friends to be at home with and rest. Then I heard Jesus say to me, 'Let you home be a Bethany to me!' I hope so, I hope my hearth and heart may always be a place where Jesus can get His holy Feet up! Then I thought of the Holy House at Ephesus in Turkey were Mary and st John went to to hide from Herod. What a wonderful place to live in. It was maybe the very first Convent/Monastery in the World. A place of prayer and peace and Joy. Just imagine living there with Mary and St John and the others saints. Heaven already. They say Mary built a Stations of the Cross outside in the Garden where she done the Stations every day! Just imagine. Dear God, may our homes be always Bethany were you and we can find refuge and Peace...and open our doors to others.
You know if the whole World and even the Church itself should start to fall apart before our very eyes, let our homes and hearts be Bethany to Jesus where we and He will find rest and peace.

There are no active explosive devices at the scene, according to the NYPD. The FDNY reported earlier that “several undetonated devices” were found. Residents were asked to avoid the area of 36th Street and 4th Avenue in Brooklyn "due to an investigation." 11:22 a.m. ET, April 12, 2022 Witness says there was "just a lot of panic" as smoke engulfed Brooklyn subway car (Angela Weiss/AFP/Getty Images) An eyewitness who said he was in the subway car where the Brooklyn shooting took place described the chaos at the scene, saying he saw a lot of blood on the floor and that gunshots sounded like fireworks. The subway conductor said the train was delayed due to train traffic minutes before the train got to the 36th Street platform in Sunset Park, according to Yav Montano, and that's when smoke suddenly engulfed the car. He then heard "what I thought was fireworks but now hearing that it was gunshots and I'm thankful I hid behind one of the chairs. ... I honestly have no words for what I've experienced." "I was in the front end of the third car and everything happened at the back end of the same car. ... As soon as the smoke, like, flared up, it started to engulf everything. People started migrating to the front of the car," he told CNN. Multiple people were found shot upon arrival to a call for a smoke condition at the 36th Street and 4th Avenue subway station at approximately 8:30 a.m. ET Tuesday, according to the New York City Fire Department. He had a mask on in the train, but he couldn't use it anymore because it was "black with smoke." He estimated about 40 to 50 people were in the subway car with him. Montano said he tried to hide and make space for an elderly woman near him. She "even handed me her little pepper spray from her purse just in case something happened.
