I say this because the cessation of exports was announced just days after their anticipation of record exports. This is not to say that there isn't a heat wave, but exaggeration of the latter might provide a business opportunity. The rising worldwide demand for food is in direct contrast to a sharp drop in supply. Even as this happens, we continue to hear the lunatics (the latest I've seen being the New Zealanders) proclaiming that farmers must continue to reduce their Carbon emissions. One way or another, things are about to get very real. A lot of wickedness and craziness will hopefully be swept aside as billions of people find they can no longer take survival for granted. Governments can print all the money you want, but they won't be able to print food. Our rulers were able to control their populations during COVID by using strategies of manufactured fear. Will they be able to control their populations with reassurances when they start rioting out of real and immediate fear of hunger? This might be the beginning both of a Chastisement and a Warning. God help us all.
Even if this virus is not Russian roulette like the coronavirus, I imagine it causes panic if it leaves permanent marks on the face (due to the pustules) like the extinct smallpox.
Those of us of a certain age were vaccinated against smallpox. I'm not sure of the exact year this was discontinued in the USA.
I'm not sure but the US government didn't consider vaccinating the population against smallpox again after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001?
So far evidence (from articles in media)shows it is most likely being sexually transmitted--mostly young man of same sex activity are coming down with it. That may change but that's where the investigation is leading for now.
Smallpox currently is eradicated, apart from specimens located at three labs in the world: one in the USA, one in Russia, and I think the other in the UK. Lord have Mercy!
