Im not sure I would call it a success ? yes they did hit it but as yet there is no result on what they achieved...I remember when I first learnt about what they where planning to do I thought it was madness ? lets go play pool with an asteroid ?? how can they possible be sure that they wont send it on the wrong trajectory, maybe not in our direction but in the direction of something else that may be steered towards us..

A devastating review of the life of the late Queen Elizabeth II, by Ann Barnhardt (typically direct and no pulling of punches): https://www.barnhardt.biz/2022/10/06/incredibly-sad-blunt-words-on-queen-elizabeth-ii/
Ann Barnhardt can never be accused of sweeping things under the carpet. However, she hits most nails very firmly on their head and adeptly drives them home. Her description of how 'In the Beginning was the Word' as indicating that God's Reason precedes His Love and that Love proceeds from Reason is absolutely fundamental. She argues that the Modernists have inverted this Procession, and subsequently downgraded, and even eliminated, God's Reason. This has been the engine, she says, behind the Modernist's 'anything goes, salvation anyway' philosophy. Of course she is a much more colourful, and effective, communicator than me!
St Paul didn't hold back either. I wonder if the present incumbents in the hierarchy believe that Romans 1 is truly the word of God? I think Barnhardt is closer to St Paul than the majority of the bishops and cardinals in the Church.
An annoucement from Putin: Russia has sufficient production to feed hungry nations and is eager to help overcome the global food crisis. Russia is eager to help out in overcoming the global food crisis, President Vladimir Putin said in a video message published on the Kremlin's website on Sunday. "We fully provide the domestic market with basic products that people need, we are successfully resolving the issues of food security and, moreover, we are increasing export opportunities. We are ready to make our own contribution to overcoming global food problems and provide the necessary assistance to the poorest, developing countries," the president said. Putin noted that the agricultural industry is one of the key sectors of the Russian economy, which "year after year demonstrates convincing, worthy results." He added that this year's grain harvest is expected to be record-breaking, at around 150 million tons, including 100 million tons of wheat. The president also said that due to the unprecedented sanctions on the country, agricultural producers face new challenges, but that these problems will be overcome once Russia attains technological sovereignty in the agricultural sector. "Working in conditions of unprecedented sanctions pressure poses new challenges to the agro-industrial complex. We will solve them jointly, with the support of the state, and use the restrictions for our own development. We need to increase the level of technological sovereignty... which means boosting our capabilities in breeding, genetics, seed production; stimulating the transition to modern domestic equipment and machinery; creating conditions for a further inflow of investment," he stated. Putin has repeatedly accused Western nations of taking over grain exported from Ukraine under a deal reached earlier this year, instead of allowing it to be delivered to developing countries. Late last month, he warned that the situation could trigger a global food crisis, pointing out that of the 203 ships that left Ukrainian ports as of September 23, only four went to the poorest countries.
Russia is truly blessed, just like when God used Joseph and Egypt to rescue the Israelites from famine...
Yes, I agree. I'm sure others have said this already, but I also see Russia like a Lazarus figure, hated all the more because he was brought back to life by Christ. And with that new life came prosperity for many citizens. We are being told to ration energy now, and I see laws in Switzerland proposing to jail people who heat their homes above 19°C in case of announced shortages. I guess homes in Russia will be nice and cozy and Russians will have plenty to eat this winter giving the west more reasons to hate them.
I've said it here before, I think, but I'll say it again. Thank God for Cardinal Mueller: https://www.thecatholicthing.org/

He is St Athanasius for us here right now. God bless and protect him. May his courage inspire other Cardinals to speak out.
