Our British schools vary, as I suspect US ones do too. My oldest grandchild is very happy at his Catholic school. He is mildly autistic but as soon as he was in school he began to talk properly and loves reading. It seems to be a lovely place. On the other hand many places are falling for the trans lie. My youngest daughter lives in London and is looking for a school for her little boy. She liked one and asked about teaching gender confusion (as some schools do). The reply was that they were holding out ‘but it will be forced on us eventually’. So the little tots are going to be asked if they want to be a boy or girl. Our universities are dire. Leftist atheistic culture rules and snowflake clones are being turned our as on a conveyor. The idea of questioning everything has gone. I am glad I got my education when I did. Our education system has been infiltrated and is poisoning children with evil ideologies. We badly need a religious revival, the Holy Spirit to sweep the nation as happened in Wales in (I think) 1905.
I guess another sad sign of no vocations… to read that this order founded by the great American saint, Elizabeth Ann Seton, is on it “path to completion “ in NY is sad. https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/...ake-new-members-signaling-end-of-congregation
This 9s another sign of the times. Very sad. Traditional orders have many new vocations. Orders that uphold Church teaching have vocations. The ones that have gone trendy and progressive are drying up like a puddle after the rain. Early examples of "get woke go broke"
A sign of the times.... Why are they doing this? What is going on? What logic is behind this? What.... I just don't get it https://www.globalresearch.ca/false-flag-in-odessa-the-pathetic-u-s-media-coverage/5381326

Suspicious! Just like the Democrat campaign aide mysteriously shot after alledgedly giving emails of Clinton and company to Julien Assange.
Not that God plays a role in sporting events but I can't help but feel there's some connection between there being a satanic gathering in Boston on the same night that the Boston Bruins, who had set an all time NHL record for wins in the regular season, blew a 3-1 series lead to lose to the Florida Panthers in round one of the NHL playoffs. There were some pretty unlikely / lucky (from Florida's perspective) goals and plays in the series. It's like some outside force was gently influencing events. Yeah, I know God probably wasn't concerned with a hockey playoff series, but I can't stop smiling at the idea of it. "OK Boston, you want to host a gathering of worshippers of the dark enemy of mankind? Let's make your record-setting team the punch line of the NHL season!". Now if the Boston Celtics lose to the Philadelphia 76ers in heartbreaking fashion I may have to reconsider. Heck, maybe we should all bet a few dollars on Philly! m.
CV News Feed on May 3, 2023 Biden HHS to Catholic Hospital in Oklahoma: Blow Out Your Candle or Leave CV NEWS FEED // The Biden administration’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued an ultimatum to a top-rated Catholic hospital network in Oklahoma, threatening to shut down their services to poor and vulnerable patients unless they remove the sanctuary candle from their chapel. Saint Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, OK, has kept the candle in question for fifteen consecutive years. The non-profit Saint Francis Health System, which runs the hospital, has kept the tradition of hospital chapels, complete with active sanctuary candles, since they were established in 1960. The network also operates the nearby St. Francis Hospital, which is the largest hospital in the state of Oklahoma. Now, Saint Francis Hospital South, which serves much of the southeastern Tulsa area, is faced with losing accreditation to serve recipients of Medicare, Medicaid, or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), if the Catholic organization does not comply with the administration’s demand. Religious liberty attorney Lori Windham of Becket Law wrote a pre-litigation letter addressed to HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra and several of his deputies and employees. In the letter, Windham states that by refusing to accredit the hospital, the administration would be effectively stripping the many disabled, elderly, and impoverished patients who currently rely on the hospital of critical life-saving healthcare. In twenty-five days, you will cripple the operations of the premiere hospitals in the State of Oklahoma, simply because they keep a candle in hospital chapels. If you refuse to accredit Saint Francis Hospital South, it will result in such unreasonable financial losses to the Saint Francis Health System that it would abruptly and immediately jeopardize its services to the elderly, disabled, and low-income patients who rely on Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Becerra is a self-described “committed Catholic.” Windham continues to describe the significance of the candle and the fact that sanctuary candles have been used in Oklahoma Catholic hospitals for well over a half-century without threats from government entities. You have threatened to deny accreditation because Saint Francis keeps a candle— an eternal flame—in its hospital sanctuary. For 15 years, that flame has burned without problem or concern in Saint Francis Hospital South in Tulsa; and for 63 years, the eternal flame has burned at Saint Francis Hospital Yale Campus, the largest hospital in the state of Oklahoma, without problem or concern. From the moment Saint Francis opened its doors in 1960, this flame has been maintained without interruption. In requiring Saint Francis to extinguish its flame, you are trying to extinguish not just a candle, but the First Amendment rights of Saint Francis Health System, as well as vital healthcare for the elderly, poor, and disabled in Oklahoma. Biden HHS to Catholic Hospital in Oklahoma: Blow Out Your Candle or Leave - CatholicVote org HHS Demands Catholic Hospital Extinguish Living Flame in Chapel or Risk Losing Medicare Accreditation In response to the threat, Becket Law, a religious-liberty organization, sent a pre-litigation letter to the federal government urging it to reverse course or risk a lawsuit on religious-exercise grounds. Becket senior counsel Lori Windham explained to National Review that both the hospital and Becket were surprised to see HHS take a different interpretation of the fire-safety standards and claim that the living flame, which is lit in accordance with the Catholic faith, was a problem. “The Code of Canon Law requires that wherever the Blessed Sacrament is kept, a special lamp must shine continuously,” read the letter, referring to the chapel’s offering of the Eucharist. Windham explained that the chapel and the worship offered there are “incredibly important to Saint Francis’s identity and mission.” The chapel has existed for many years and was blessed and consecrated by the bishop, said Windham, adding that worship and service to patients go hand in hand. “It would be a huge burden on Saint Francis to be told they could not continue to worship there,” she said. “It’s important when you’re looking at a religious charity, when you’re looking at a religious group to understand their faith and understand why something is important to them. If we lose that understanding then we end up with silly rules like this one.” Saint Francis’s chapel and the living flame within have been approved by the local fire marshal in the past. “It’s never been a question that’s come up for federal regulators, but this year for the first time HHS has decided that Saint Francis should choose between keeping a living flame in its hospital chapel and its ability to serve the elderly, poor, and disabled who receive Medicaid, Medicare and CHIP through HHS,” Windham said. Yes, Seagrace, Simply put, this is a perfect example of hatred for the light of the Gospel, for the Church, and a slap to the face of our Lord and His Eucharistic Presence. How many fires have been caused in the last 100 years in the USA by knocked over sanctuary lamps? I made a search: didn't come up with one example. These fallen away Catholics in government continue to keep the label, while often hating and rejecting the truths they claim to hold. Political facade. Holy Spirit, convict their hearts and bring them to repentance!
I hope this is true, but I just saw several posts over on Twitter indicating that the Department of Health and Human Services has abandoned its attempt to force St. Francis Health System to extinguish the sanctuary candle or stop serving elderly, disabled, and low-income patients. Apparently St. Francis sent them a pre-litigation letter through their legal representative alleging a violation of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
