I would say two things: Firstly establish a deep trust and confidence in God, through grace by establishing a deeper and deeper prayer.Sacramental life. Secondly, help others. The selfish will perish only those who reach out to save others will save themselves.
You explain this so well. My friend who died some years ago saw her country fall to communism and saw her family members martyred for their faith. She married an American airforce officer after the war ( WWII) and moved to America. She never ceased warning us about communism. Right before she died she was very grim about where the West was headed. She was a very very strong Catholic --a saint in my humble opinion--although she would have fiercely denied that. She never trusted "perestroika". She said it was just another scheme of the communists. Interestingly Malachi Martin said the same thing. He believed the "fall" of communism was engineered. Your observations about cultural Marxism in the west are spot on. We lost our virtue. Sickening. The upheaval in the 60's with Vatican II playing a crucial role and the greed of the 80's...the loss of faith. We are in for a very very bad time. We are almost there. May God give us the strength to stay faithful.

I feel that way too, sister, maybe everything will happen sooner than we expect... Everything is happening very quickly, in the world and in the Church. Even time itself seems to run faster. I have a personal feeling that the movement of time does not have a constant speed but is always accelerating.

Your second point is well taken, Padraig. Love pressed down and overflowing (unto others) is the key. Luke 6:37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged.
