I don’t really know specifics on Garabandal but it seems to me that I remember that she sort of got quiet for a moment and then turned to look at the calendar before saying about it would be a martyr of the Eucharist? She could be looking at the calendar but see another that Heaven was showing her? I also know there is such a thing as a white martyr (as in blood not shed) I’m just asking. I’m in no way authority,
It is terrifying. The generation of my father and mother accepted this with out question as did the generations beyond. Nor did they struggle with it. It was the general belief of Catholics when I was taught in school . Nowadays, I suspect, very very few Catholics would believe such a thing. Why? Well I suppose the words if Jesus could be applied to us that we are and obstinate and perverse generation. We are kinda go along get along . We run to hell with a smile on our faces . When it gets down to it I don't suppose too many of us believe in the supernatural I think we think of God as up there in the sky not bothering with or bothered by things below A kind of God the nod.
The Vatican no longer believes in the supernatural if you read the latest document on apparitions. They are so bad they want to silence the voice of heaven and our Lady in particular. https://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/...cfaith_doc_19780225_norme-apparizioni_en.html Freemasons couldn't have done a better job of stripping mysticism from the Church.
I always think of St Paul's admonition to work out our salvation in fear and trembling. Our parents generation knew this. They took nothing for granted. I have a house full of dearly loved family who do not even have God on their radar. It terrifies me. Plugging away at the Rosary. Commending them to the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart. I've decided to start St Bridget's 12 year novena. I started it once before some years ago but didn't finish. Time to start again.
If I were to go to the Bishops of France, Germany and Italy and catch them in an honest ,straightforward moment if they believed in the actual physical Resurrection of Jesus from the dead I suspect very few of them would say so. They would say the Resurrection was an allegory or a kind of fable to point to a truth. Inasmuch as they do believe it is rather like a parent saying to a child that they believe in Santa Claus I hope I am wrong in this, but I suspect it is so
Well from. what Our Lady has been saying we are going to get a big shake down to wake us all up. So there are great grounds for hope
I think when you see a priest say Mass it is pretty evident if they truly believe or not...and how much they believe. Pretty evident, hard to hide
That’s it in a nutshell. And if nothing can be declared supernatural from now on we can validly assume that nothing that happened up to now was supernatural either. If the church cannot assure us that Heaven is speaking to us now and in the future why would Heaven have spoken to us in the past? Goodbye Fatima, Akita, Kibeho, Lourdes, Our Lady of Good Success etc etc. “ROME WILL LOSE THE FAITH “ Here’s a good discussion on the subject.
They are in dire straits according the prescient Malachi Martin. He said today's hierarchy--many of them-- simply don't believe any of this anymore. They've lost their faith and have no clue they've lost it. They think they are modern and enlightened and grown up and those of us who cling to our traditional faith are backward and medieval. And...he added...Jesus doesn't always call them back.
This is why Sam Shamoun is so popular. He explains scripture clearly with an emphasis on understanding Genesis. Because understanding the first few chapters of Genesis greatly helps a person to understand the Gospels and the rest of the New Testament. When the authorities in the church keep closing doors the Holy Spirit will open new ones. I understand the old testament and new testament way better than I ever have now thanks to him. People in general, but especially the youth are craving the truth and God is hearing them. The Holy Spirit is using social media in amazing ways.
I must try and watch him more. But frankly I find his attitude and mannerisms off putting. I wish he wasn't so...well..in your face. Also he spends so much time off topic. Kinda going into one. He seems so aggressive.
But I do love him on Scr ipture, the Good Lord has granted him very special gifts. So it is well worth while persevering with the nonsense...and there is loads and loads of nonsense. The nonsense takes ages to filter out. Without the acrobats his videos would be cut by about 75% a big savings on time. I hate wasting time.
I highly recommend the 5 part series I posted earlier. Just skip ahead in the videos to where he starts teaching. Yes he is annoying at times, but once he dives into scripture he is like no one else. Part of the problem is that Sam destroys a lot of apologists from faiths other than Catholic and Orthodox. So his channel gets raided but also the devil attacks him (video connection issues, life issues, death threats and such). The channel "Christ over all" has smaller clips of him where he isn't joking around and such. This 20 min video is excellent.
Years and years ago I knew a very saintly Cistercian Brother who died in the odour of sanctity. His name was Bother Francis and he died blind for a long time suffering greatly on his sick bed . I suspect a Victim Soul and unknown saint. Anyway Brother Francis told me a story. Before he entered the Monastery he was a taxi driver. He wanted to become a monk but his widowed father was ill and he had to stay home to look after him. So he had to wait. He used to go to Mass everyday and one day his Parish Priest invited him back to his Presbytery to ask Frank a question whichever him over. He asked Frank if he really believed in God? Brother Francis was astonished and said of course he did and did the Priest not? The priest replied that of course he did not and could not understand h o w an intelligent man like him could. Frank asked him how he could go on being a priest with no Faith? The priest replied that he regarded himself as a social worker, trying to do as much good as he could. Anyway if he stopped being a priest would happen to him? So he carried on.
I recall years and years ago when I was having lunch in a restaurant in Rome with an Archibishop from Australia, it doesn't matter why, I think he's a Cardinal now. I asked him some questions about why the Australian Catholic Church relied so heavily on bringing in priests from places like Africa to keep the Church alive there? Why, in Australia did young men want to become Priests? That it might be a patch on a cancer? I could see I had pressed the wrong button, to put it mildly. But we must ask the question.
