I am sickened that police took no action. It makes no sense that this rooftop, overlooking President Trump's massive rally was off the radar of secret service and the local police. There were so many videos of sharp shooters at different locations to secure this event, it is questionable the rooftop shooter went unnoticed. If this was not an intentional oversight, then it was gross incompetence on the part of the secret service and local police who failed to secure that rooftop. I pray that the truth comes out during this investigation, and Americans will not have to endure another cover up and more conspiracy theories. If I were President Trump, I would hire private security to ensure my safety moving forward.
I have read that the Secret Service were warned about a man climbing to the roof of the building, but ignored the warning. This all follows a Biden statement on the 8th of July about Trump getting a 'bullseye'. Conveniently, the would-be assassin is dead. I said to my wife the moment we heard that he had won in 2016, that they would shoot him. They have now; miraculously he has escaped almost unscathed. I thought his defiance as he was led off by the Secret Service agents showed great clearheadedness and courage under fire. May God continue to protect him.

It appears to me that God has turned this evil act into something for His own purposes. The intention was clearly to kill Trump, but even worse, to kill him in front of everyone in a gruesome way where everyone would become entirely demoralized. This would then be broadcast around the world. Had his head been turned forward, or even back a couple of inches, he likely would not have lived. Perhaps the prophecy of the hermit of loretto is unfolding. This event now seems to be rallying people. The way he got back up and put his fist in the air, especially at his age. It's something everyone relates to. That image will never die.
