garabandal, Great find, though I do tend to get lost in the volume of words. Here's my brief summary: A progress that results primarily in the accumulation of up-to-date stuff demands inordinate amounts of time and attention. Such a progress takes our eyes off of Jesus and neighbor. It inhibits love. It is the path to Hell. We will perish if we wallow in the perishable! As I remind my children, the only worthy pursuits in life are authentic relationships. 1Cor 13:13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. Nothing else endures. Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!
Yes, Terry you remind me, the one thing needful. You also remind me of the wish that Popes and Bishops and even priests when they speak to us would do so in simple, plain , heart touching language like Jesus Himself. Who reads Letters from the Pope or bishops? They are hard to read.
