The commandments

One of the 'signs' of the times is the 'lack of fear of the Lord' and the
failure to obey His commandments:

The commandments were written in stone and this is symbolic that they
are permanent and unchanging:

The first three commandments concern loving and worshipping
God with our whole hearts, minds and soul; honouring His holy name and
keeping the Lord's day holy:
[the empty pews in many churches are testimony to the secularisation
of society; an apostacy from the truth]:

The remaining 7 concern loving our neighbours:

Honor your father and your mother!
[I am convinced that this is one of the most commonly broken
commandments today]

You shall not kill
[we have built up a culture of death:
abortion, suicide, euthanasia, murder, hatred]

You shall not commit adultery!
[Cohabitation is rampant; divorces increase; lust
is promoted as a good through modern methods
of mass communication]

You shall not steal!
[Tax evasion, theft, burgalry common place and
particularly against older people and the weak &
vulnerable]

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor!
[here the media are experts: our good Pope is villified
for preaching the truth that homosexual practise is a perversion]

You shall not covet your neighbor's wife!
You shall not covet your neighbor's goods!
[the credit crunch was caused by greed - folks wanting the
good life copying the lifestyles of the celebrities, I could go on]

This is probably the most sinful period in world history in the
Christian age. There has been a total loss of the 'sense of sin'.
One frightening aspect of this period of history has been the contamination
of our young people by sinful secular society. They are bombarded by all sorts of
propaganda and lies; the 'safe sex' mantra being a classic
example. Goebells once said 'tell a big lie, tell it often enough,
and people will believe you'.

I often think of poor Noah building his Ark and the folks making
fun at his expense. Although he lived in very sinful times he must have
wondered at times if this was not just a crazy scheme!! That is until it started to rain.

Likewise I sometimes wonder if I am the crazy one with a 'funny world view' but
I suppose it's like that in a time of mercy. When the times of justice begin I might
just be saying, 'Why did I not pray harder, sacrifice more?

As I have mentioned before 'this is the era of disobedience' hence
the world needs the warning/illumination and God will correct
His erring children:

How long until the sands of mercy run out and the tide of justice is upon us?

I posted a link to the folm, 'Jeremiah'.

Jeremiah lived as a prophet at a time of great darkness, just before the babylonian captivity.

It seems to me very like the times we are going through now, just before our own Babylonian captivity.

Even his own family rejected Jeremiah..as Jesus said, 'A prophet is never accepted in his own country'..and agin,,,'Your ancestors stoned the prophets'

Its a hard and difficult time to walk in the Light and to feel the prophetic pulse when even those ot the True Faith have lapsed into Darkness .

I rejoice that Mary has given us this little Ark of Her own here to rest a while in a place of light in great darkness.

May God Bless our Holy Mother the Catholic Church and Bless Our Holy Father the Pope.

May God preserve His Church and this little Ark.

I can see a time soon when, perhaps,
we might pray for and prefer the Justice of God.
If the world keeps spinning into greater evil
there will be many [spiritual] casualties.

There appears to me to in the West to be a 'new civilization'
that has arisen and divorced itself completely from God and even worse
is attempting to usurp the power of God and imitates God in
manipulating the very fabric of life.

This present generation is trampling on the 'blood of the
lamb' and will have a price to pay.

We need a few Jeremiahs and John the Baptists to
shout from the roof tops.

have written will undoubtedly help when
making an examination of conscience.

You have not been a member for long, but your posts show a deep and profound understanding and appreciation for the Faith.

Thankyou for your kind words, however,
it has been a very long journey for me.
God has provided wonderful graces in my life
since I was a boy but I have wasted so much
that I am embarrased to approach the throne
of Grace with hands that are empty.
Nevertheless, what I have learnt is that humility
[a true and correct understanding of oneself] is
the key to unlocking the door of the kingdom of God.
God can never refuse a humble soul and
God is mystically attracted to the broken hearted
and the contrite soul.
This is a mystery that fascinates me - the intimacy
of God with His chosen souls, how he wants to
win us over by His love that we might freely give
ourselves to Him unconditionally. God wants
to conquer us through His love.
There is no coercion involved for Love is nailed
to the Cross.

Sometimes when I forget these things and find
my heart becoming hardened I put on the DVD
of the Passion and might just watch the Agony in
the Garden or the crowning with thorns and I fall
in love again! And the scenes that I watch make me
cry for I understand how much He loves me an unworthy
sinner.
