Thanks. I do have some pretty good well informed sources now, far better than early in the last pontificate.

I like that you hold the position you do. Balances things out a bit.

Very well said, giving us a lot of reasons to be hopeful. But even if PLXIV continues the legacy of PFI I am not concerned, the general trend is one of exposure. It's only a matter of time before everything comes out in the Vatican. It's clear the tentacles of the globalist cabal are the ones that are entrenched everywhere. Exposing them in one area, weakens and exposes them everywhere. No one man, not even the Pope can contain this.

There is another possibility, apart from the two extremes I outlined to Brian. This man might be a consummate politician. He has introduced tradition via his name and garb and paid homage to novelty with his 'synodal Church' comments. Maybe he is intent on doing nothing controversial in his papacy, just 'kicking for touch' in rugby parlance. This would not be what most of us posting here would want, but, in the context of a progressivism that is slowly dying with the degraded West that spawned it, it might not be a negative development. Christ might simply be allowing Modernism the freedom, like Judas, to hang itself.

I spoke to Brian of the possibility of a 'Bergoglio with a brain'. It can't be ruled out that he's an 'anti-Bergoglio with a brain'. Such a man would need to be very prudent, in order to gain promotion under Bergoglio. Nailing his colours to the mast would have meant a fate like Strickland or Vigano. What strikes me about his history is that the most negative accusation against him is of allegedly not dealing sufficiently with the abuse of three girls. In my experience, sodomites don't try to cover up the abuse of girls. Firstly, it obviously doesn't concern them or the people they identify with. Secondly, it is in the interest of sodomites to reveal priestly abuse of girls, because this tends to take the heat a little off the reality that by far the most priestly sexual abuse is carried out by homosexuals against young boys.

To reiterate, time will tell and let us hope for the best, while preparing for the worst.

Lord Jesus Christ, have Mercy on us all. Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

    I love this.

I currently see only one option for the Pope currently. PLXIV can either tackle the church problems head on right now which would be best. He can kick the can down the road to the next Pope which would look weak, which I don't think would work given how much everything is escalating in terms of exposure. Or he can try to contain and keep going on PFI agenda, which also won't work.

Like you said, time will tell. However the clock also appears to be running out on the cabal.

In the interest of balance, I have seen two posts I trust on the positive and nuanced side:

    Some questions:

1). What did James Martin claim to see in Leo XIV, in order to endorse him?

2). What are the connections, if any, between Leo XIV and James Martin?

3). When did James Martin decide to endorse the now Leo XIV?

Padraig has provided some quotations of Pope Leo on the 'White Smoke' thread which seem unsympathetic to the Big Gay narrative. This is confusing and full of contradiction. There is much information, much misinformation and much disinformation. It will take teasing out.

Report: A Chance Encounter with Fr Martin and Austen Ivereigh Reveals Their Papal Candidate
The Spanish website InfoVaticana exposes a push by certain Church figures to have Cardinal Robert Prevost elected pope. A translation of the article below.

The Eternal City is buzzing these days with anticipation ahead of the conclave. The corridors, cafés, and restaurants near the Vatican are teeming with cardinals, journalists, clergy, and commentators of all kinds. We, too, have been walking around the city, running into no shortage of familiar faces.

But if there’s one encounter we won’t forget, it was this afternoon’s. While strolling around Borgo Pio, I ran into none other than Jesuit James Martinand Briton Austen Ivereigh, two of the most enthusiastic supporters of Pope Francis' pontificate and tireless defenders of the synodal, inclusive, and dialogue-oriented approach… at least on paper.

Upon seeing them, my friend and travel companion wanted to say hello, so we introduced ourselves: “We’re from InfoVaticana.” The reaction was immediate and, frankly, revealing. James Martin, author of “Building a Bridge,” that book that claims to build bridges between the Church and those on the margins, turned his back on us without saying a word. No dialogue, no bridge, not even a greeting. Just a wall. Quite telling. We must not be his type.

Austen Ivereigh, on the other hand, did speak to us… though perhaps he wishes he hadn’t. Visibly upset — and increasingly so as the conversation went on — he stood up, came over to us, and strongly reproached us for the “campaign” he believes we’re running against Cardinal Robert Prevost. “Very interesting campaign you’re running against Prevost,” he said, with a tone mixed with anger and frustration.

When we replied, “No, not against Prevost; against the culture of cover-up in the Church — are you now in favor of that?”, the discomfort was palpable. Nervously, Ivereigh referenced the Sodalitium as the supposed origin of our information. When we explained that there are many cases, all documented, he sarcastically insisted that InfoVaticana “always has more,” referring to the documents we've been publishing on the matter. His reaction left no doubt: Prevost was their man, the candidate in whom they had placed all their hopes.

The scene could not have been more telling. Just hours before the conclave begins, the insiders are nervous. Not because anyone is slandering Prevost, but because the truth is coming to light. Because the documents, the testimonies, and the omissions are there — documented and published. And more are on the way.

It’s revealing: the same circle that calls for synodality, transparency, and bridges of dialogue cannot stand it when the dark corners of their allies are illuminated. For some, the culture of cover-up isn’t a past to overcome — it’s still a strategy they’re trying to maintain.

I’m second guessing myself. Did he pray it in Latin or Italian? I’m just glad he prayed it.

These are all prudential matters based on US politics, which is basically dominated by two Palestinan-genocide supporters/pretend Ukrainian peacemakers and frankly means nothing to me at this point.

    We have a new Pope.

My advise is let him be a Pope.

Don't judge him in advance as being bad.

Give him time. Give him all your love and prayers.

Wait for a long time, maybe a year or two, before making a judgement on him. Don't decide he is going to be bad before he even does or says anything.

Give him time. Don't attack him before he has even started. Surely as His Spiritual children we owe him at least that.

At the very, very, very least. Prudence and Charity.

I think that Pope Leo XIV is going to take his fatherly role seriously. He'll be a father to all of us, but it will take time, being careful, and lots of prayer. He's surrounded by wolves and that can't be easy. He needs our continuous prayer support. We've got to pray for him as hard as we did for the conclave!

I don't know, I like the guy. I have a good feeling about him. Anyway it always good to think the best of someone you meet the first time.
