The Little Blue Book

Julia Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Wondered about asking the same question, in the light of the other thread where only approved messages were supposed to be acceptable.

Another point, when reading the actual site linked by Padraig, it said there are other people out there printing books of the title Little Blue Book, and it is possible these books may not have the authentic alleged messages as originally intended. Just thought to mention.

I have also sent an email to the address shown on their site and asked if the Bishop has given permission for the publication. Have not yet heard back.

It really takes the eyes of Faith. I doubted for many years but kept going back. Doubting Thomas. I do accept them now.

    But it does take Faith.

I just checked the front of my own copy.

It has a Nihil Obstat from the deputy ecclessial censor for the Dublin Archdiocese Fr Brendan Leahy D.D ; 22nd March 2000 saying that it had Church permission for printing.

'Nihil Obstat' .. in English, 'Nothing stands in the way' (No obstacles)

    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/nihil obstat

    nihil obstat
    noun

    nihil ob·stat | \ -ˈäbzˌtat, -bˌst- \
    Definition of nihil obstat
1 : the certification by an official censor of the Roman Catholic Church that a book has been examined and found to contain nothing opposed to faith and morals
2 : authoritative or official approval the surest road to fame was … through the imprimatur and nihil obstat of a foreign critic

  6. Thank you, HH! Just ordered 2: one for me and one for my husband. (I was originally going to buy one for us to share but when I looked at the delivery date, it was for Monday which just also happens to be his birthday, so I’m taking it that Our Lady wants me to give it to him as a gift and that he should own his own copy. He and I discuss LOTS of what is on the MOG forum and are uniquely on board with most, if not all of the topics, but I haven’t yet told him anything about this book/seer, so I’ll have some explaining to do, lol!)

  9. I’m glad you set up this thread, Padraig. Thank you.

Now, what I’m about to say here isn’t to start yet another thread, but to point out an “incentive” I believe Our Lady sent to me to look into Her little book which came from another of her blue books: that used in the Marian Movement of Priests Cenacles. (*Please, everyone reading this, I am not writing on the MMP here to discuss why I use the book or why I am part of the movement, which I was away from for a long time and to which I was especially called back into on a small scale through Godly circumstances.)

In short, I happened to have my brand new MMP Bluebook with me in church. After daily Mass yesterday, I was pondering about how I’d been introduced to, and at certain times prayed, the devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows. (Note: My own mom even prays it daily because I “sold” it so well, I guess! I’ve been given a gifts from different people: ma bracelet of OLOS, a Chaplet of OLOS, a copy of a famous painting of OLOS, and I even procured an icon of OLOS from a shop inside the Old City of Jerusalem when I visited there. So, just trying to first set a backdrop here for what I’ll say next.)

Well, the pondering became a prayerful “lament” of sorts as I sat right there beneath the 12th Station up on the wall, asking the Lord from my heart how someone so inundated with all these reminders of His Most Sorrowful Mother still could not grasp the a more sublime understanding of it all. That was that. I let it drop.

I then decided that since I had the MMP Bluebook handy, I’d just open it up and read an entry: #527 September 15, 1994, Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. Out loud before the Tabernacle all I could immediately lift my head and exclaim, “Oh, my, goodness!” Then I read, “A sword will pierce your soul.” (Lk 2:35 ) What followed was a page and a half of an answer to my prayer—Our Lady’s retelling of all the ways, starting with the Presentation in the Temple and up to the near present times, Her soul was and still is pierced.

Clearly, our good Mother was there “with” Her words and guessing She loves blue books! <3

So happy you mentioned the MMP book. It has been such an eye opener for me too. She speaks to me through this miracle book as well.

I ordered the book from Amazon. It has no copyright date or Nihil Obstat that I can see. The very last page says Made in USA
    Columbia, SC
    06 April 2021

I ordered this book on April 7, 2021. I wonder if it is the real thing like Padraig has. Strange that it was printed the day before I ordered it.

I was reading through the Amazon reviews, and there were some that complained of missing pages. So yes, check it over closely.

My own copy is very, very old I think.. Maybe 20 years?

It is hard back and really is blue. I think it may have been one of the very first ones.

It has 446 pages and is very plain and simple.

Just for fun I have prayed to Our Lady and asked for a message for the Mother of God Forum. I find this fun.:)

Apr. 10- 'Write my child! You were brought this evening did you hear me?

Yes Mary , was that you?

My little one, so full of little earthly confusions about things, people and happenings and things that might occur. I settle everything. You must learn to leave all these things in my care. If you would only cease to let them carry you off and remember I am greater. Me!! I let not even your smallest worry go astray that I do not tend to. Put your whole self under my protection.

Thank you! So nice of you.
Just for people’s info, I believe Padraig’s copy has a Nihil Obstat
At least the one sold in Amazon UK was listed as having one.

  20. I cannot help but think of the same motherly demeanor as when Our Lady spoke these words to St. Juan Diego:

“Listen, my son, to what I tell you now. Do not let anything worry or afflict you; do not fear illness nor any troublesome happening nor pain. Am I not here? I who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not your life and health? Are you not in my embrace and in my prayers? What else do you need?”
