Yes, by supporting such changes one is actually insinuating that the words of Scripture are an affront to God! Lord have Mercy!
With this Mandela effect thing, everything around the world seems to change, but you still remember the way things used to be. So it affects books in your shelf. I know John Hopkins became Johns Hopkins because I was considering studying there. Also last year I read a report explaining why the statistics show the pandemic is not serious. Here is a residue of “lion and the lamb” (13:24): Residues remain giving evidence of the changes. I don’t know how whoever is doing this is doing this.
Johns Hopkins was named at birth Johns Hopkins because his mother’s maiden name was Johns. It’s a matter of record. I am unable to link from my phone. You may have a faulty memory of his name, but for sure his name has always been Johns Hopkins. He was from my area of Maryland.
Well, I can’t prove it. But I can say there are a few thousand people who remembered it. For some reason, we remember, but everyone else doesn’t. I am sure about this one, but I can’t prove it. I don’t know why I’m Mandela effected. I don’t even know how it can be done. But I suspect many religions are being primed to accept the antichrist when he shows up. Because the Bible is slowly changing, and people insist it was always this way. I don’t believe in parallel universes or time travel. I used to watch the Adam’s family cartoon series as a kid.
I’ve thought about this. I can’t convince anyone. It sounds like I am out of my mind, like how people thought Noah was a nut building an ark in his backyard preaching doom. Anyone who is interested in an absolutely creepy sign of the times can research the Mandela effect, which affects, not just Protestant, but Catholic religious artifacts. There are many people warning Protestants, and these same people are ridiculed and dismissed. I’ll just drop the matter, but this is strong evidence that someone is tampering with the “times and laws”.
in the firsts centurys of the Church there was a collection of spurious Gnostic writings that disputed legitimacy with the holy gospels that the Holy Spirit created, as an example of the heretical writings we have the gospel of Thomas and the gospel of Mary Magdalene, I believe that if the antichrist will try corrupting the scriptures perhaps he tries to revive the false gospels condemned by the Church fathers.
Wouldn't you think that, if God is warning Protestants about changes to the Bible, He would mention a certain seven books? I don't know about the Mandela effect but I'm pretty sure that when I was growing up there were five continents. Now there are seven and the world didn't get any bigger.
A lot of these differences go back to the philosophy behind translation. As another poster has stated, a lot of the original greek has masculine language that refers to all people, and not just men. This is why some Bible translations will say Brothers/Brethren and others will say something like Brothers and Sisters, People, etc.
I think if satan can't alter or destroy all the bibles in the world then he might invest in discovering some scrolls containing an entirely different gospel, something that seems more reasoned and persuasive than the heretical book mormon, has anyone ever thought that the enemy may attempt a final onslaught against the warning by undermining our family members' faith in at least 2000-year-old orthodox doctrine even though the warning convinces most people that God exists.
Yes, we are being manipulated. After all, "they" control the printing press so they will continue gaslighting us... I have read a bible before which has a footnote underneath the story of Sodom and Gomorrah which says that Sodom and Gomorrah wasn't destroyed because of homosexuality, but because people didn't care about the poor...
I always love to follow along with the Scripture readings at Mass on the Universalis App. I know there have seen some tamperings with Scripture, but I also think the people doing the readings, including the priests, change things, 'On the hoof', as they feel like it. I know a lot of Catholic commentators recommend the Douai/ Rheims Bible as a safe place to go. Our new Parish Priest gives a little Homily every day which I very much like. Also I get the feeling that he has actually thought about and prayed over what he is saying. Again I love this. At the Traditional Mass on Sundays I get the feeling that the Fathers are quoting from other sources, rather than speaking from the heart, which seems a shame. I like it a lot better when people speak their own thoughts , rather than those of others. I do have a feeling of living a dream lately. Time goes past so quick. Also a lot of the events in the Church and the World seem so unreal to me. As though it were a scary film. I find prayer grounds me a lot into reality. God is the ultimate, the only reality. Everything else is just dross.
All sins of course have harmful consequences, but I think the sin of telling lies has the harmful result of loosing touch with reality. Which is why a Profession in an Intelligence Agency, Politics or Advertising , for instance, may be a bad choice for a Catholic as they involve lying as a first resort on many occasions. One of the great dangers of telling loads of lies is that, like Alice in Wonderland, you may well fall down your own rabbit Hole and never come back again. The fact that you are telling lies as part of your profession never makes it right to do so.
You have described my own sense of things so accurately. Time races by toward eternity. I said to friend yesterday that I couldn't get caught up in pastimes that perhaps are good in themselves but use up valuable time. I am "studying for my final exams" and that takes most of my energy. Sadly everything is closed around here this week. No adoration chapel and no Mass. I was able to get to the Maronite Church for Mass on Tuesday. It was so moving and so grace filled. I was so grateful.
there is a prophetic warning at the end of the book of revelation which i believe is mainly for luther who withdrew 7 books from the biblical canon of the old testament but also for those who tamper with the meaning of passages of holy scripture. REVELATION 22:16-21 16 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to attest these things to you for the sake of the churches. I am the sprig from the root of David and the bright star of the morning. 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come!' Let everyone who listens answer, 'Come!' Then let all who are thirsty come: all who want it may have the water of life, and have it free. 18 This is my solemn attestation to all who hear the prophecies in this book: if anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him every plague mentioned in the book; 19 if anyone cuts anything out of the prophecies in this book, God will cut off his share of the tree of life and of the holy city, which are described in the book. 20 The one who attests these things says: I am indeed coming soon. Amen; come, Lord Jesus. 21 May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all. Amen."
Instead of focusing on the Bible ones, maybe the secular one make will sense. Cap'n Crunch used to be Captain Crunch. C3PO had all golden legs. Soviet flag didn't have a star. There used to be a northern ice land on maps. I'm more at ease with this because I think God will tell me why my memories conflict with what people tell me was always the case.
luther had doubts about the inspiration of the book of apocalypse as well as the letter of Saint James; today most Protestants use apocalyptic literature to falsely prophesy the end of the Catholic Church.
