I believe that God granted us the papacy, in its prerogative of infallibility, so that not every clarification of doctrine would depend on prolonged and controversial processes like councils. After the fall of the Roman Empire and the outbreak of the first schism, this became increasingly clear. What is at stake is the very structure of the papacy as a sign of unity and authority, while a sort of democratic structure is emerging—one marked by endless discussions that never reach a definitive conclusion. After nearly five years of the synodal process, who can truly define what synodality even is? And when will the issue of deaconesses finally be taken off the table for good?

The problem is that the pope cannot simply ram things down our throats that are contrary to the faith, so they gas light us with the "synodal process" trying to make it look like these things are good and that everyone needs them. That this is where the most deserving people on the "margins" are and that complete obedience to them is the definition of compassion.

One blessing in considering Catholic Prophecy is that it is teaching me the great value of Detachment. Of not holding on to things. Of being prepared to let things go.

One of the reasons why Our Lady has been appearing is to prepare us for what is just round the corner.

One of the very saddest things at the present time is how few people take heed to Mary Appearing as Queen of the Prophets or any attention to Catholic Prophecy at all. Even very holy and wise Catholics often ignore Prophesy. Our Lady herself has said how few listen.

    Such a great,great,great pity.

God could have intervened and given the world a great Pope. Obviously, He knows what He's doing; but it seems that He has decided that the time for a great Pope is, unfortunately, not right now.

So, if He's left us to it, then the underhanded conniving done by Francis is coming to fruition (I read that he installed numerous 'woke' cardinals - in a bid to ensure the enhancement of the trajectory he set). And it is said that these woke cardinals hold the majority.

If these things are indeed true, then how could we have been given anything other than a Francis 2.0

Even a Second St Peter could not fix what is going on in the Church at the moment. It is a sack of corrupt filth. It must burn to the sticks and be reborn like a Pheonix. Then when it is burnt down it can be rebuild and all of Christendom under the Great Pope and Monarch.

When Our Lady said at Fatima that in Portugal the Doctrine of the Faith will be preserved she meant when all of Portugal is under Islamic Occupation and Great Persecution. Only part of green Spain in the North and West will remain free until the Second Reconquista. It will not last long this time round but will be incredibly severe. Blood will cleanse Spain and Portugal, an immense effusion of Blood.

Who knows what the future will bring. Even in our personal day to day walk? I certainly would not have predicted this past year of experience for my wife and I. Yet, here we are. This reflection i think is spot on in our personal journey and as we look at the direction of the world.

"When you pray, you only have to ask for two things: You should ask for the light to see the will of God, and you have to ask for the courage to be able to do the will of God."

Praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry it out.

I listened but I was disappointed that after all the destruction there will be only about 40 years before that man of perdition shows up and that will be the end of the peace.

Maybe 40 years is a Biblical type period meaning a very long time. I like the model of the Church as going through different ages or stages and that we are going through the start of another age:

Me, too. Imho he appeared to repent and he visited the grave of Pope St Pius X who was against Modernism. So I continue to pray for his soul. It’s an act of charity.

I heard Father Ripperger say a curious thing recently. He says that when we pray for a soul who happens to be in hell we greatly increase their agony.

It’s impossible to think that the same people who saw the Warning, Miracle, and lived through the dreadful Chastisement will be the same wicked generation that will bear the Antichrist. Our Lady said at La Salette that the times in which the man of perdition is born would be incredibly wicked. Personally, and this is just my opinion, this won’t be for hundreds if not thousands of years.

I have always read that when we pray for a departed soul, if the prayers are not needed then God applies them to another soul.

    Padraig,
If you saw the Pope praying, then he was likely in the depths of Purgatory. Souls in hell cannot pray for themselves or others. They are completely cut off from God’s grace, except for continuing existence, albeit in eternal suffering.
    Peace. Ed

I did not see the Pope praying.

Interestingly there have been several reports of Popes in hell down the ages. Perhaps the most famous was from Dante . Italians, because they have more upfront experience of Popes than the rest of us tend to have a more cynical view of their Popes. Imagining them as probably being in hell never surprised them. They almost seemed to expect it.

Yes, slight misunderstanding. IN PRAYER Padraig saw the man in hell.

But you raise an interesting point.

Several mystics confirm there are different levels in purgatory. Some only separated from heaven by a very thin veil if you like. Likewise some so close, so similar to hell that it’s easy to confuse the two.

It’s possible that mystics had visions of the lower levels of purgatory that were so shocking so terrible that they thought they were visions of hell (not saying this is what happened with Padraigs vision though).

I believe some mystics spoke of at least 7 major levels in purgatory going from below the ground towards the center of the earth (not the physical ground of course) to several regions in space around the earth (again, not physical space). But there may be more.

Incidentally in English we have two words SKY and HEAVEN to designate the physical and the spiritual realms, which is very helpful. It’s NOT the same in several other languages. In Spanish for example there’s only CIELO.
