I remember two quotes, one from Our Lady and one from St. Alphonsus, that emphasized the importance of the Rosary and the Brown Scapular, but I forget what exactly they said. (Though I think it was Our Lady, who said that She would one day save the world with the two.) Does anyone remember these two quotes, and are there other quotes and prophecies like that that emphasizes both the importance of the Rosary and the Brown Scapular together, particularly in difficult times? I do know Our Lady of Fatima emphasized both.

A group of us are having a little discussion/ disagreement so I thought I would put it out to the forum for consensus. Should we wear the brown CLOTH scapular or does the medal cover the requirement?
My wife, the convert (the converted Protestants always know their facts better than we lazy cradle Catholics) always says about this type of topic “they’re not magical, don’t place your trust into a specific scapular, medal, etc, to save you, your Faith and demonstrating it is what matters to God”
The cloth one is absolutely preferred to signify the habit of the Carmelites but Pope Pius XII I believe gave permission for the medal.
