Tbh, I don’t know much about him. Already seeing Dem operatives pulling old vids and pretty nasty negative comments he made about Trump back several years ago. Looking quickly at his positions on the major issues, I’m pleased with the pick.
Yes he trashed Trump in 2016 but many, including myself, didn't like Trump in 2016 either. He's a local guy for me and lives in Cincinnati which is where I work. I don't know tons about him but have loved his positions over the last 4 years and he is fearless. It's what we need. I did like Tulsi but didn't know if I could trust her.
He has a way to go in his understanding of what it means to be a Catholic but I believe his heart is good and grace will work on him. Its up to his priest to tell him his support of abortion is endangering his soul. He must have prayer and I suspect now he will get it.

Yes! I do like how he seems to be humble and willing to reconsider things. I don’t think we should write him off…..like you said, people can change with prayer, and like someone else said, this is not a contest for canonization.
My husband is fiercely anti Trump and very left wing in his politics. On Sunday I asked him if he had ever seen the old 1930's movie "Gabriel Over the White House". It concerns a corrupt and worldly man who becomes president. The hidden financial bigwigs put him in office to pull his strings. There is an assassination attempt. Lots of celestial music and the falling of a white feather slowly falling next to him.. Miraculously the attempt fails and he comes "back". He does not say much but he begins to read the Constitution and then he starts actually being a good president. Advocating for the working man and the poor. Those who gave him power are furious and plot to do away with him. Always around him is this sense of Gabriel. Even the sound of a horn at one point. He unifies the people and does wonderful things for the country. Finally they do kill him but he knew his time was up and he smiles as he dies. I sad to my husband " who knows what effect this assassination attempt may have on Trump." Then I read he gave God all the credit for his escape.and said he would continue to trust in God. Then this morning I read he tore up his original speech and is rewriti ng it. He wants to unify and not divide. Keep praying everyone. Our Lady works with imperfect men--Don Juan of Austria was no saint yet she used him to save Europe. And don't forget the statue of Our Lady of Fatima. Also Melania prays the Rosary!!!!

And perhaps the prime example of imperfection…Peter… by all accounts a loud man with little humility who even denied Christ but became the “Rock” on which Jesus built his church. With God, all things are possible.
