Pity that Rubio has no chance. Anyway, he is young enough to try again some time in the future.

Trump is a politician, just not a career politician. To get what he wants, he says what he thinks people want to hear, even if that means pitching to the lowest common denominator. He strikes me as the kind of character I wouldn't want as either a friend or enemy. What amazed me was how he was hyped up by commentators who are clearly in the Clinton camp. I think that they hyped him up knowing that he would destroy any chance the Republicans have of winning enough Hispanic and independent voters to beat Clinton. He might win over some independent women voters, but if I were black or Hispanic I would vote for anyone but him.

I thought that the Republicans actually had some good candidates this time. They should have found a way before now to whittle down the number of candidates, giving someone other than Trump a chance to get a high public profile. For all that he looks strong while energising the Republican base, I imagine he would need a broader appeal to get elected.

From what I've seen of him, I think that Bush is quite likeable, He comes across as a genuinely nice person. Of course, the nice guys rarely win and he would have a lot of trouble living down his surname.

I disagree on a few points.

I would more say Trump is political savy then a politican.

Rubio has a bright future ahead of him, even Bush 41 ran twice for President. 1st time was after Jimmy Cater,Regan one with Busch as VP...so

The republican establishment cant stand Trump, they have NO clue how to counter him, just like with Obama. Even the media is drumming up a false polls ,reuters poll showing Trump dropped 12 points before the Cali terrorist attack. Actually Trump moved up in points across all majior polls. Theres a war against Trump for sure.

Im not trying to sway anyones opinion, just some observations ive made the last week or so.

I'm not convinced that he has political savvy because I don't see how he can be elected President. He might win the Republican nomination. If he doesn't, he may well run as an independent, splitting the Republican vote. That might explain all the attention he gets from Democrat-leaning news outlets. They built him up from the start, knowing how easy it would be to knock him down when he had served his purpose.

He knows how to make money and will lie down with any dog whose fleas have a dollar sign. Since when has that been a desirable quality for choosing the leader of the free world? Don't Republican supporters want to win the White House? If they do, why are they letting this man suck up all the oxygen at the expense of candidates who might have a broader appeal?

Having just watched Rubio talking about giving security agencies even more power to access people's private data, I have gone right off him. Every time I hear an American politician talk about gathering even more meta data (I thing that's the term they use), I recall that training course for the US military where Catholics were listed as terrorists.

I'm in the Charlie J. Camp ... along with many others ... that Election 2016 won't matter squat! Oh! I'll go vote for the least offensive candidates ... if I still have the opportunity. I guarantee that I will NOT vote for any Democrats as they have become, Lock, Stock & Barrel, the Party of Abortion, Perversion and godless Socialism! My days of supporting candidates with $$$, however, ended with Election 08; the people I supported did Not follow up with their pledges! My limited $$$ is better spent on organizations such as my local Food Bank and the Salvation Army. .......... and my own little Food Bank ... so I can help others like some here who think their Guardian Angels will deliver CARE packages every morn to their doorsteps:) ...... wouldn't that be nice?

I'm not sure that any election matters a whole lot any more. At least with Charlie you will know within a year whether he's right or wrong. You don't have to spend years looking for signs in every cloud and every turn of the tide to match what he predicts and then scramble around to fit the signs to the messages.

I'm with you on voting for the least worst candidate in my own country. I wish it were as easy to pick the candidates worth voting for as it is to tell the candidates who will never get my vote.

When choosing which charities should get your hard earned money, don't forget the Catholic charities in Africa. All the vested interests that participated in the destruction of moral and family values in the West are homing in on Africa. We have the opportunity to help save African families from this evil. Africa has so much potential to make the world a better place. With God's help and our support, they can do it. If enough of us give a little, we can give the Church a fighting chance to offset the evil effects of the billions being pumped in by the tech and pharma billionaires.

How Donald Trump Plays the Media

    December 08, 2015
    http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2015/12/08/how_donald_trump_plays_the_media

Inside the Beltway, the Washington establishment, the establishment is aligned and unified on a number of things, Republicans and Democrats alike. And one of those things on which they're aligned is that the Drive-By Media is an acceptable, coequal branch of what they do. They accept the media as, for lack of a better term, the great equalizer. The media is always the institution that makes or breaks people. If the media wants to make somebody, they can, and it's allowed. If the media wants to take somebody out, it's allowed, and they try and oftentimes get away with it...

Why is Donald Trump still a candidate? Why hasn't anybody been able to force him out? Why hasn't anybody been able to humiliate him? Why hasn't anybody been able to destroy him? Why hasn't anybody -- and by anybody, I mean, the media, 'cause that's who both parties rely on to do this. Why can't the media touch the guy? He's given them all kinds of ammo. If anybody else says what Trump says, and they're history, they're shamed, they're humiliated, they are forever forgotten, and they have gotten so low they could never recover from it...

Trump is just picking up where I left off, according to the BBC.
Meanwhile, I've never said anything like anything Trump says. But despite it all they can't take him out. They can't stop covering him. They can't humiliate him. They can't embarrass him. They can't diminish his support. They're powerless, and this has them in a panic. The media that can make-or-break anybody cannot touch Trump, and every time they try, all they do is make him bigger. They can't explain this. They are frustrated to no end, and so are both political parties who rely on the media to be the great equalizer in all of this.

Nothing's working. No matter what Trump says, the media is there, and every member of the media is there. Every network, every camera, every microphone is there. Last Friday night Trump was in Raleigh, North Carolina. Reuters lied. Reuters even tried lying to destroy Trump. They ran a story claiming that Trump's performance and his appearance were shut down by Black Lives Matter protesters. MSNBC ran with it...

Who's leading? What do the polls say? Who's losing? Who's surprised by who's winning? Who's surprised by who's losing? But it's the horse-race angle. And that's completely backfired on 'em. Their primary technique, their primary way of reporting these campaigns and thereby shaping the outcome of them is backfiring totally on them. There is a deep panic, I believe, in the Drive-By Media. Because, in their world, in their mind, they control the horse race.

They are the ones that are the greatest factor in determining how people vote or what they say in polls. And the fact that they are having absolutely zero impact on Donald Trump is blowing their minds. Donald Trump has a more loyal audience than the media has at this point, which is also what this is showing. And it is causing a lot of people in the establishment -- the elites, the ruling class, whatever you call 'em both parties, the Washington crowd...

    BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: This latest Donald Trump episode is a glittering, glaring example of how he is playing the media like a Stradivarius. And I tell you, folks, for all of you people who have complained and whined and moaned about the media over the years, and how unfair they are to Republicans and how unfair that makes the whole process and, "What are we gonna do?" You need to be studying Donald Trump. I don't care whether you think what he says is outrageous or wrong or whatever. That's the wrong way to look at this right now.

This latest quote/unquote "outrage" from Trump is a perfect example of how he plays the media, how he knows exactly what to do and how to do it to own their attention and airtime. He says things that he knows will drive them crazy. He says things over and over that he knows will drive them insane, and then when they go insane, he doubles down on it and drives them even crazier. He also knows that his audience is in on what he is doing.

He knows that a lot of Americans agree, to a certain extent, with things that he says. He also knows he's the only one reaching those people. And then he sits back and watches (no doubt with a huge smile) the media cover what he says over and over and over and over again. Then they analyze it over and over and over, and they talk about it over and over and over again. He's confident that a lot of his voters are gonna be able to strip away the bombast and be able to get to the nuts and bolts of what he's saying, the kernel of truth of what he's saying.

In the meantime, he ends up occupying political positions exclusively that many support.

I am fascinated by Donal Trump. He reminds me of a book I read many years ago about a guy who became President. I think it may have been by Steven King.

This little Vietamese immigrant had the Power of Precognition and went round saying about a Candidate like Donal, 'This guy is a Tiger..he will destroy the world'.

I get a great sense of evil of this man....

    look at his hair do...:D:D:D

I hate a guy going bald who spends so much money covering it up.

I am jealous. I am going bald, where will I get that kind of dough?:D

Trump's "Nutty" Proposal Is Already the Law of the Land -- and Was Used by Jimmy Carter During the Hostage Crisis December 09, 2015

RUSH: This law was written in 1952. It was passed by a Democrat-controlled Congress, House and Senate, and signed by a Democrat president... Everybody in the establishment in the political class, Republican, Democrat, media, you name it, is all claiming that what Trump said is dumb, stupid, reckless, dangerous, unconstitutional, while it is the law of the land. And it was utilized by Jimmy Carter, no less, in 1979 to keep Iranians out.

There is a difference between being at war with a country and saying no one from x country can come in and saying 1.5 b of a certain religion cannot enter. Under what Trump proposed yesterday, an American Muslim on vacation in England could not come back

The Elites Just Don't Understand It: Obama Birthed the Trump Movement December 09, 2015

RUSH: The disconnect, the divide is even bigger than I thought it was, and I thought I had a handle on it. But I'm telling you, folks, the distance between those, for lack of a better term, that govern us in Washington and the majority of us out here, they don't have the slightest idea who we are anymore. I mean, they really, really don't have any idea who we are. It's striking. It's genuinely striking, and they like to tell us that it's us out of touch. And I'm telling you, I have never encountered a more out of touch bunch of people who are otherwise, at least reputedly, intelligent and aware and at the top of their game...

These last posts of mine, I here Charlie talking thru... everything is being exposed!

I found it funny today Obama and Cheny both said Trump has to go, now Hamas is saying the same...lol - per Newsmax TV News..

And were not at war now?

I watched his full speech 2 nights ago and then listened to the media who had his speech in hand.... All he said was, A temporary halt to Muslim immigrants until we come up with a better way to vet . No US citizen abroad would be denied access back home he said, unless they join forces against the US, there NOT coming back ,Trump said ( unofficial quote)

Were told the female shooter in Cali went thru the vetting process, now they say she may have been an operative before she ever got here...

A Temporary halt I believe is prudent right now.

Yes. His suggestion is ridiculous, apart from being the worst kind of discrimination. As if any terrorist will declare himself to be Muslim once he knows that will prevent his entering the US. They don't all have Muslim names, especially women. For example, there are variations of Mary or Miriam. Don't they also have some kind of permission to lie if it serves their purpose? If a terrorist applying for a visa is asked to declare his religion and responds "none", how does an immigration official prove him wrong?

The decision to apply stricter regulations to the Visa Waiver scheme is also silly. Most European passport holders don't get Syrian or Iraqi stamps on their passports because they cross the borders illegally, entering through other countries like Turkey or Jordan. Very many Europeans holiday in Turkey. Thousands of Northern Europeans have holiday homes in Turkey and visit for lengthy periods.

Trump's nonsense merely serves to divert attention from the lack of progress in eliminating the ISIS caliphate which makes them more attractive to wannabe jihadists. I suppose that Trump's ridiculous pronouncements wouldn't have such appeal if politicians didn't sound so hopeless and the Coalition hadn't been so ineffective against ISIS.

The bottom line USA Gang (EU too if they want to survive) is:
We need to control our Borders and Keep-Out those that break our Immigration Laws and, especially, those that wish to cause us harm. Any & Every Nation, contrary to Democrat Party/Liberal "Doctrine" has every right to control it's Borders and Protect it's Citizens ... Period!!!
