So much of what is happening appears illogical. From the perspective of Israel it will be a disaster, perhaps the end of Israel. For the USA also a disaster. Yet they walk towards this as though sleep walking over a cliff. It reminds me of many similiar incidents in Scripture when people sleep walked to death. For instance Pharoah was given ten great Signs from heaven to mend his ways including the death of his first born son. Still he led his people into the Red Sea and they all drowned. All this that is happening reminds me of this , people sleep walking to their deaths. Poor young people on all sides. I believe you are bang on with this assessment. For whatever reasons today, people in general have a worldview that is steeped in Newtonian materialism. This worldview eclipses reality and ultimately denies spiritual accountability. It's akin to walking on thin ice while believing one is walking on solid ground. The materialistic worldview works until it doesn't and ends catastrophically. Then when things go wrong it becomes incredibly difficult to back track. Because of the habitual tendency of returning to the materialistic Newtonian world view as a means to resolve issues continues to be used. Which is why so many empires collapse in on themselves instead of changing course. Dogs going back to their vomit. Using the same logic to solve problems which created the problems in the first place. Humanity in general has been relegated to chattel to serve for pleasure and profit. But the dimension of humanity is so much more than this. Humanity has been broken greatly because of this pursuit as well. We are so much more and we don't know it, we live in obscurity. My hope and prayer is that enough people turn and return to God, such that the Grace to understand our true nature as God created us is further unveiled, as we move collectively along the path. That through this we can have the Grace to heal and ultimately change course. But I suspect this won't happen until the Triumph.
