Will we be able to hold our babies in Heaven?

HH I’m sure that must have been Angelina. Wasn’t God wonderful to allow you to see her.

 

Perhaps the Lord grants them the grace to know whom their parents and siblings are, to hold you in prayer as they await reunion. I realize this is conjecture, but I do believe familial bonds run deep and extend between heaven and earth.

 

Dear PF,

I am so deeply touched by your sharing this extremely personal and painful loss with us. I simply cannot imagine what any mother (or father) goes through in losing a preborn child.

I feel that I should share with you some information that was passed along to my extended community of Catholic families near Clear Creek Abbey by a woman who lives there. She sent us a very long and detailed email full of information--statistics and so forth--about this topic and the tragic lack of support for families faced with this heavy cross. (I believe she is a professional counselor, but I'm not sure.) I will just copy some of the links that she sent at the end of the email.

She gathered this information was from the Institute of Reproductive Grief Care 2024 Symposium for Healthcare Professionals, which she attended this past March.

Oh PF, I am so very sorry to hear this. I am just catching up on reading posts and only just saw your's today. I do know your pain as I too, have suffered 3 miscarriages and even after all these years, I still remember the deep pain of losing my babies. I felt absolutely lost and didn't know how to cope. Time and prayer was all I had to help me heal. I do believe I will see them in Heaven one day. I'm counting on it I pray that Our Lady will console you and hold you and your family close to Her Most Immaculate Heart.

PRAYER REQUEST: Jessica Impson, the woman who sent out the information I shared with you a couple of days ago on help for women who have suffered miscarriages, sent out an urgent request for prayers this morning. I am copying her email below. Thank you in advance!

Our family was stuck with an illness that hasn’t subsided and has endured for many weeks. Andrew and Nik have recovered, but myself and Cody remain very sick. After many trips to urgent care, Cody is holding fast at home with no progress but no decline. However, I’ve been referred to the emergency room after seeking help at urgent care again this morning. The illness has set deep into our chests/lungs and there are some suspected complications. We are not responding to antibiotics or steroids nor in office breathing treatments and I especially continue to decline. A high fever returned to me this morning.

May God bless all of you abundantly. Pax.
