My daughter has chickens, goats and pigs, and it's been quite the challenge.

Mine too! To add to the chaos... new born goats are inside with family- grandkids love it.

i was looking at the men and women in various jobs that require outside work... including my son and 2 son in laws in construction trades... tough days for them

Yes. I think of those brave men and women and prayfor them. The linemen who get the power back on. The ones who faithfully show up to plow us out. So many!

We’re supposed to get more snow, 50 mph winds, and possibly a power outage. I’m really dreading probably missing Mass again.

Could cloud seeding play a part as well?

Not just cloud seeding, but all the chemicals they're putting into the atmosphere to dim the sunlight

A big storm coming Sunday pm and Monday here in Cape Breton and we have a doctor’s appointment on Monday. It’s so hard to get the appointment as she is overworked.
Please also keep praying for my son as he did call for a little chat about 2 weeks ago.
It’s a day by day wait as we pray for him but my husband was so glad he called . I’m not expressing myself well here. It’s late! He did sound a little better but much prayer needed.
I want to thank all who are praying for for Rod .
I am also praying for all of your needs. And safety in this storm.

Praying for all in the storm made me think a lot about suffering and the Spiritual Life. When I was a child and we used to go to my mother she used always to say, 'Offer it up to the Sacred Heart'. After a while doing this it really does help. Why? Well instead of looking towards our own suffering it forces us to unselfishly looking to help other people. . It turns our eyes away from our own pain to the pain of others.

Its the same when we are in pain or suffering. If we are blessed enough to have someone to listen to us we can tell them our troubles and complain about them. But better still to go in Front of the Blessed Sacrament.. I notice complaining to other people can actually make things worse.

I am sitting here laughing at myself. No storm here so I have nothing to complain about. But when I wake up early in the morning and it is dark and cold it can be hard to get out of bed. I was just thinking of people like myself who face the day. People who do so with Faith and people with no Faith. Imagine someone who has just lost a spouse after being married a long time. Imagine on top of this that this person had no Faith and compare them to a person with no Faith. What a difference.

I think it is the same with something like storm . Faith makes all the difference.
